Obama Burger-Rama

When I get the hankering for a good burger I go where the good burgers are made. Who'd of thunk that the President and Vice President are of the same thought process? President Obama, and Vice President Biden, who often have lunch together, went out today for a couple of burgers. They paid cash, waited in line, and sat down to enjoy one hell of a good burger.

Biden Beeyatch Slaps Cheney

Former Vice President Cheney is no longer under his rock in an undisclosed location and for the record from this political writer, I liked it better when he was under the rock. There should be laws across the land against letting shotgun misfiring, drunken Vice President’s out in public. Can we at the least insist on the Ogre rule and that all of them should keep to their swamps and whatever dwelling they choose to habitat once they are OUT of political office. I’m not sure about you but I am fed up with this piece of crap former Vice President, let me repeat that last part, VICE PRESIDENT, dictating to the new America what a screw up President Obama is. Has Cheney looked in the mirror and at his former “Deciderer” in Chief? Cheney spouts off as if he was the President which leads me to ask the obvious question, who was the actual President Dick?

Vice President Joe Biden has had enough too and he more or less told Dick Cheney to stop being… Umm, a close resemblance to the mail reproductive organ. Over at CNN, VP Biden slapped the Dickster upside the head with his Darklord gloom and doom thoughts on President Obama…

Video Link

Dick Cheney has no clue as to what the respect of the office of President is. Former Presidents like W. have shown an amazing amount of control in keeping his thoughts to himself. Ya don’t hear squat from W. because he knows how tough the job is and the last thing you need to hear is a former wannabe a W. preaching to the quire as to what the President should or should not do. Dick Cheney should go back to his hidey hole and just stay there. Not a damn peep out of ya Dick or we will sick the attack dog in full force on ya. Friging Puttz!

Cheney Off to Wyoming Finally!

Dick Cheney gave what is supposed to be his last interview before leaving office over at Fox News this past Sunday. I didn’t get a chance to catch it but the sound bites out of the interview are classic Dick Cheney without the Dick Nixon expletives. More or less he called Biden and Ass that has no clue as to what Constitutional law is, chucked the bird at the Congress, and declared George W. Bush a saint that defended the Constitution. And he was drop dead serious when he said it.

I’ll wait till you stop laughing before I continue with the post. Take a few minutes. Okay, you just peed yourself… Go change your pants and get back to the post afterward. Don’t be ashamed, there is an elderly gentleman in Boston that just soiled his pants altogether laughing. Now we have a woman in New York that needs to change too. London, Munich, two folks in Ontario, and now the Australians are pissing themselves laughing. Yes, I have a pissy pants locator on this blog. We monitor the warmness in your crotch from satellites overhead for drastic changes in temperature that could signal urine or a nuclear attack. Technology courtesy of Vice President Dick Cheney’s office. I can’t reveal the details at this time due to national insecurity or incontinence issues. Oh damn, Seattle just went yellow on the warning meter.

If you ever wondered how dangerous Dick and George were as Co-President then all you have to read is this line from the “More powerful than a speeding train” Vice President during his interview with Chris Wallace at Fox News…

Vice President Cheney mocked Vice President-elect Joe Biden's grasp of the Constitution, defended former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and said President Bush "doesn't have to check with anybody" before launching a nuclear attack. - Fox News

Did you ever wonder who initiated the wiretapping of US citizens? Who ran the show on surveillance right here at home on all those domestic terrorist posing as soccer moms? Dick did it! He ran the whole damn show and admitted it to Chris Wallace. He never mentions that the President asked him to oversee it, nope. He ran it all! Check it out for yourself…

WALLACE: Let's drill down into some of the specific measures that you pushed — first of all, the warrantless surveillance on a massive scale, without telling the appropriate court, without seeking legislation from Congress.

Why not, in the aftermath of 9/11 and the spirit of national unity, get approval, support, bring in the other branches of government?

CHENEY: Well, let me tell you a story about the terror surveillance program. We did brief the Congress. And we brought in...

WALLACE: Well, you briefed a few members.

CHENEY: We brought in the chairman and the ranking member, House and Senate, and briefed them a number of times up until — this was — be from late '01 up until '04 when there was additional controversy concerning the program.

At that point, we brought in what I describe as the big nine — not only the intel people but also the speaker, the majority and minority leaders of the House and Senate, and brought them into the situation room in the basement of the White House.

I presided over the meeting. We briefed them on the program, and what we'd achieved, and how it worked, and asked them, "Should we continue the program?" They were unanimous, Republican and Democrat alike. All agreed — absolutely essential to continue the program.

I then said, "Do we need to come to the Congress and get additional legislative authorization to continue what we're doing?" They said, "Absolutely not. Don't do it, because it will reveal to the enemy how it is we're reading their mail."

That happened. We did consult. We did keep them involved. We ultimately ended up having to go to the Congress after the New York Times decided they were going to make the judge to review all of — or make all of this available, obviously, when they reacted to a specific leak.

But it was a program that we briefed on repeatedly. We did these briefings in my office. I presided over them. We went to the key people in the House and Senate intel committees and ultimately the entirely leadership and sought their advice and counsel, and they agreed we should not come back to the Congress.
- Fox News

By the way, you can check the entire transcript from Fox News at the above mentioned link. I could not make this stuff up if I wanted to.

For some odd reason I am truly surprised that we survived the last eight years of Cheney. When he wasn’t shooting his hunting buddies he was actually looking for ways to make sure all of us were good little goose steppers in line with the Furer… I mean President. Could you even imagine what kind of world this would be if Cheney ever became President? I’m thinking lots of mushroom clouds and my grandchildren glowing at night.

Go back to Wyoming Dick and spy on some cattle or something. Those big eyes are watching for something, what do they see that you don’t? Could there be terrorists in those fields? Grab your gun Dick! (Lawyers and friends duck)

Naked Palin Needed Clothes

John McCain stated today that Governor Palin needed clothes to justify $150,000 spent by the Republican National Committee (RNC) to go shopping for Sarah Palin. There is only one problem with this declaration, she was and is the Governor of Alaska. Did she show up to work in Moose skins, Wolf skins, or was she just bare ass as she put that plane on Ebay? Apparently, to John McMillionaire she was not properly dressed and Neiman Marcus could fix her up. Sarah Palin needed to be GOP’ered. Walk like a duck, quack like a duck and campaign like a GOP Vice President candidate.

Here is the McCain spin on your donations to his campaign and why your $100 dollars, $500 dollars or even $1000 bucks went to a good cause. Sarah was buck naked when he found her in the wilderness of Alaska in the Governors office.

Over at Politico they have the inside inseam scoop…

McCain: 'She needed clothes'

John McCain defended the Republican National Committee’s decision Thursday to spend more than $150,000 dollars on clothing and accessories for running mate Sarah Palin.

“She needed clothes at the time,” McCain told a group of Florida reporters.

The Arizona Republican said that the clothing will be donated to charity and that there was nothing unusual about spending the committee’s money on Palin’s look.

“They'll be donated at end of this campaign. They'll be donated to charity,” McCain said.

“It works by her getting some clothes when she was made the nominee of the party and it will be donated back to charity,” he added. “It works that the clothes will be donated to charity. Nothing surprises me.”
- Politico

How pissed would you be if Barack Obama spent this kind of money on Joe Biden? Your donation dollars! I don’t get it. McCain is Conservative but he says that $150,000 dollars for clothing in just over one months time on clothing and accessories is okay and justified because the Governor needed clothes? Somebody has no clue as to what his political campaign is doing behind his back and the blame rests squarely on John McCain. It’s his campaign! What excuse is he going to use when he is elected President when people are screwing him over behind his back? This is just an election for President, once elected you are on the world stage. McCain is not in charge of his own campaign and that is sad. Mistakes and blunders of this magnitude should never have happened on a campaign where the man on the bumper stickers is supposed to be a hawk.

If John McCain can not control the spending of his own campaign organization that makes him look bad, then how is he going to control government spending that he wants to lead? It’s his campaign and nobody did this to him but his own campaign. He owns this issue 100%!

This attempt by McCain was truly against his character. He could not justify the spending of that much money on clothing and accessories at all. “She needed clothes” is his response? This is the beginning of Bush 3.0 lies if John McCain is elected President.

Real Talk with Obama and Biden

One of the things that I find interesting is the ability for Barack Obama and Joe Biden to sit down with reporters from any media house. Obama sat down with Bill O’Reilly and answered all the question the best of the spin zone could give him. And Obama will probably sit down with Bill again if that is what it takes to let people really know who Barack Obama and Joe Biden are.

If you look at real journalists and not political pundits then you have to think of the crew over at 60 Minutes. Just a few years back there was a saying buzzing around about 60 Minutes and the reporters working there. It went something like this but I’m paraphrasing. If 60 Minutes is knocking on your door, do not answer the door!

Week after week 60 Minutes broadcasts amazing stories with hard hitting questions without having to read the Miranda Rights to the person being interviewed. This little seen interview on You Tube from the end of August by 60 Minutes gives a better idea as to who Barack Obama and Joe Biden really are…

Video Link

One thing is clear to me, Obama and Biden don’t have a problem with answering any questions honestly. From anyone or any network or print media interviewer. Biden will not be a “Yes” man to Obama, and Obama will listen to other peoples opinion and thoughts before making a nation changing decision as President. That would be a fresh change from the Cowboy Maverick we have as President now in George Bush, and the carbon copy John McCain has morphed into.

Obama "Say it to my Face!"

Barack Obama and Joe Biden have hit the nail on the head with the non stop lies coming from John McCain's campaign. John McCain had the chance to look Barack Obama in the face and state his wild accusations. He didn't because he could not! This makes one fact clear in voters minds, one party wants to talk about the truth and the other is hiding behind baseless lies in political advertisements.

Video Link

In the past two debates between McCain and Obama, John McCain could not look at his opponent Barack Obama. Matter of fact, after the last debate John McCain practically ran out of the hall. Barack Obama stuck around to actually talk to the people there. Something smells wrong and it is coming from John McCain and what he has had to become since morping into George Bush 3.0...

Real Leadership in Obama - Biden

One of the things that irks me about this Presidential election is the appearance or lack of an ability to connect with voters by looking them in the eye. Maybe it is the way McCain presents his speeches from cue cards that just doesn’t seem to exude very much confidence as a leader. It’s almost as if McCain seems terrified whenever he has to speak to a crowd because he always has that blank look in his eyes whenever he eventually looks up at the people in attendance.

Then you go over to the Obama - Biden ticket and both of them can give a speech directly from the heart without cue cards. That alone speaks volumes when it comes to confidence in the message they are getting across which is very much in contrast to the lack of confidence in the message McCain is trying to sell.

I’m one of those funny people that if you can not look me in the eye when you want me to buy your product then my first impression is that you don’t believe in it. Call it a funny feeling but every time I see John McCain speak, for some odd reason I get the feeling he is selling me a Yugo but defining it as a Cadillac.

Over at Vim and Vinegar I found this must see video that just blew me away. Check it out…

I don’t know about you but I do know that I want the next President to have the confidence of FDR and his Vice President should be a Pitt Bull like Harry Truman. I find those qualities in Barack Obama and Joe Biden very evident in these troubling times we live in.

Biden - Palin Debate Winner

I’ll start off with just one reference from Governor Palin. Who the hell is this guy McClellan in charge of the military in Afghanistan? I think she meant to say General David McKiernan. That was a stumble on her part and one of many throughout the night and the debate. One thing was very clear was the fact that Governor Palin did not directly answer many of the questions she was asked. Biden did so with facts and figures and to some that may seem boring but this is not the television series “24”! It's politics that in this time in our nations path needs facts and figures to move forward.

Joe Biden spoke from facts and corrected many of the topics that Palin went off topic on. She was quoting voting records of Obama, Biden, and McCain and Joe Biden knew the facts behind each of the votes which Governor Palin was not privy too. Big mistake on her part on specifics.

It seemed that most of the questions coming to each of the Vice President candidates was answered more so on what the men actually running for President will do. Which is what you would expect in a VP debate. All but one, the role of Vice President and what it entails. Governor Palin sought the same stretch of executive privilege from the Bush administration where as Senator Biden stated the Constitution and the dangerous damage Cheney has morphed the Vice Presidency into.

Asked on what each of the Vice President candidates Achilles heal was, Governor Palin skipped the question entirely and offered just a stump speech of the McCain platform. Senator Biden listed several items that he is weak personally first then went on the Obama platform strengths.

All said and done, Governor Palin tried her best to hold her own but she was up against an encyclopedia of information on government and voting records. For every point she tried to make for McCain, Biden could recite several votes where McCain voted against it from health care, to taxes, to energy issues, and where she was wrong on Obama‘s votes in the Senate.

Two key phrases did come out, Bridge to Nowhere against Palin and a correction to Biden from Palin to get the phrase right? Drill baby Drill! That would be a drill here and everywhere in America point from the Governor. And of course Biden pointing out the fact that John McCain would not sit down with Spain, a NATO member becacuse he thought it was a hostile nation against America?

Biden pretty much linked McCain to Bush over and over again and that will be the mud that sticks to the wall of this debate. What also will stick to the wall is the fact that Governor Palin did not answer many of the questions thrown at her. She dodged the questions to go back to previous points that Biden had made. Gwen Eiffel had to ask the questions back to Governor Palin repeatedly.

On a scale of one to ten I would give Governor Palin a six overall and Senator Biden an eight.

Last thought, when the debate was over the two candidates families all came up on stage and stayed there for a long time interacting with one another. One of the things that warms my heart is children, Joe Biden bent almost all the way over to talk to the Palin family younger kids. Biden went beyond what is normal in a post debate format and introduced his wife, family and grandchildren to Governor Palin and her family, and talked with Governor Palin’s father for a good spell of time.

Update 10/03/08 and must see video from Rachel Maddow...

Palin Debate Prep and Issues Problem

Keith Olberman of MSNBC Countdown has this interesting opinion piece on Sarah Palin, Bill O’Reilly and other people without a clue as to what America needs to heal itself. You can't see these videos and not wonder where the mind of John McCain is? It certainly is not out for the best intrest of America!

Then you have this piece on Palin dodging a real questions from Katie Couric that should have realistic facts and answers and Palin dodges it and answers the question with just Roe vs. Wade? Which was part of the original question asked if there was any other decision by the Supreme Court that she could recite? Huh?

Palin, Biden Vice President Debate Prep

Everyone with a political mind is wondering what Governor Palin is doing to bone up on the issues when she faces Senator Joe Biden on Friday. I’m betting on Bon-Bon’s and that is the extent of her concerns. According to some of the people that have debated her in her past election for Governor she is the master of the Non-Answer and does not need to study the issues. She just talks the sound bites and tells you what you want to hear. Facts and figures just don’t mean anything in her opinion.

This information isn’t coming from some left wing nut job blog or left leaning news media organization, it is coming from the Christian Science Monitor and from the mouth of Republican contender for Governor in Alaska Andrew Halcro. Check out the full article…

While policy wonks such as Biden might cringe, it seemed to me that Palin was simply vocalizing her strength without realizing it. During the campaign, Palin's knowledge on public policy issues never matured – because it didn't have to. Her ability to fill the debate halls with her presence and her gift of the glittering generality made it possible for her to rely on populism instead of policy.

Palin is a master of the nonanswer. She can turn a 60-second response to a query about her specific solutions to healthcare challenges into a folksy story about how she's met people on the campaign trail who face healthcare challenges. All without uttering a word about her public-policy solutions to healthcare challenges.

In one debate, a moderator asked the candidates to name a bill the legislature had recently passed that we didn't like. I named one. Democratic candidate Tony Knowles named one. But Sarah Palin instead used her allotted time to criticize the incumbent governor, Frank Murkowski. Asked to name a bill we did like, the same pattern emerged: Palin didn't name a bill.

And when she does answer the actual question asked, she has a canny ability to connect with the audience on a personal level. For example, asked to name a major issue that had been ignored during the campaign, I discussed the health of local communities, Mr. Knowles talked about affordable healthcare, and Palin talked about ... the need to protect hunting and fishing rights.

So what does that mean for Biden? With shorter question-and-answer times and limited interaction between the two, he should simply ignore Palin in a respectful manner on the stage and answer the questions as though he were alone. Any attempt to flex his public-policy knowledge and show Palin is not ready for prime time will inevitably cast him in the role of the bully.

On the other side of the stage, if Palin is to be successful, she needs to do what she does best: fill the room with her presence and stick to the scripted sound bites.
- Christian Science Monitor

Speaking as a left leaning voter, Joe Biden should show up for the same game as if he were debating Obama, Hillary Clinton or Bill Richardson. Spout facts and figures that he can do from memory and attack McCain on the differences between McCain and Obama. He should not let her not answer any questions and she should be called on it! This is not a beauty contest, this is the Presidency of the United States! There is no tiara or sash given when you take the oath of President or Vice President of the United States of America. This is the real world and there is no do over from the office of President or Vice President. The debate between Palin and Biden just might prove who is serious about the issues and the results may just prove out that Governor Palin dodges the rough questions with the expertise of a beauty contestant. If she mentions “World Peace” just once to any question then you will know what I’m talking about. End of discussion.

The Women Behind Obama and Biden

When you look at political candidates running for President it is hard not to notice the woman behind the man. What is that old saying, behind every great man is a greater woman. Something like that. Behind the Democrat ticket for President is two outstanding beautiful woman and they prove it out with actions and not just words when it comes to the children involved in the campaign for President. That is a key point for this post, children.

Michelle Obama and Jill Biden are two very well educated woman that are married to serious politicians that some people call elitists. I’ll talk about that aspect after the article linked to below. When it comes to being Mom’s there is nothing elitist about a kids slumber or pajama party hosted by Michelle Obama and Jill Biden while there husbands did what they needed to do during the DNC convention. Over at People (who’d of thunk I would ever quote People with politics) they have an interesting story on the women behind the candidates of Obama and Biden…

Michelle Obama's Campaign Secret: Kids' Slumber Parties
By Chris Willard

How do you keep 15 kids entertained on the campaign trial?

If you're Michelle Obama and Jill Biden, you throw a slumber party.

The night of Obama's speech at the Democratic National Convention, her daughter Malia, 10, said she needed to make an announcement.

"I was like, 'What? Was I bad?' " Obama tells Access Hollywood in a series of interviews to air Sept. 25, 26 and 29. "She said no, but we have to have a sleepover tonight."

The sleepover happened the next night and the guest list included Biden's granddaughters and about 15 children of campaign staff.

At a recent campaign stop in Allentown, Penn., Obama and Biden chatted about how they had formed an immediate bond.

"It was just one of those magical moments where we spent a week together and after that week, you know Michelle put her arms around me and I put my arms around her and she said, 'I love you,' and I said, 'I love you, too,' " Biden recalls. "We just clicked."
- People

For starters we can say that these two woman have guts to host a slumber party for fifteen kids. Having five daughters we have had our fair share of large sleepover nights aka pajama parties with one or more friends from several of the girls and I wanted to pull my hair out. My wife handled the nightly events with the expertise of a top executive Mom. The bottom line is that they didn’t dump the kids on staffers and matter of fact, many of the kids were from the staff! If you ask me, and you won’t, these two mom’s handled the convention perfectly not only on stage but with the children associated with the campaign. I’m looking forward to seeing the interviews from Access Hollywood with Michelle Obama September 25, 26 and 29th. It’s nice to see the inside of the woman behind the man that could sit behind the desk in the Oval Office.

Getting back to the “Elitist” point of view that people are labeling Barack and Michelle Obama, I think it is good for the country to present our brightest and strongest candidate for President on the Democratic ticket. My brother offered this advice when people use the “Elitist” label when it comes to Obama. When America goes to war we use our “Elite” troops, Navy Seals, Green Beret’s and the list goes on. We use our best assets to attack and win the fight. We use our Elite military power to fight and win the war so how is it wrong that putting up our brightest star in the Democrat Party is wrong because they call him an “Elitist”? More to the point, why are they not putting the best their party has to offer to defend America?

Biden Responds to RNC Convention

Joe Biden has already taken the GOP on with his response to the lack of actual plans to bring about change from the RNC Convention speakers. Below is a great video clip from his speech in Scranton, PA over the weekend.

Video Link

Senator Biden has a legitimate point. Most of the speakers were in fact attacking the true messengers of change rather than the plans that Obama and Biden are offering America. It looks to me like Republican's are using the Karl Rove campaign handbook and that is going to lead to one very dirty political Presidential election.

A CAUTION FOR DISGRUNTLED CLINTON SUPPORTERS

Cross Posted from The Duke of Madness...

For Obama supporters, it is easy to dismiss the disenchantment of Clinton supporters as sore losers. However, such an approach is conducive to making a bad situation worse.

Hillary Clinton, love her or hate her, is the first truly serious candidate for the presidency who happens to be a female. It is not too much of a stretch to realize that while women as a whole have escaped the Stepford Wife existence expected of them not that long ago, there is more to attain. Sen. Clinton embodies that for a lot of women.

I think.

I say that because I am not a woman. But, I realize that while at this time enthusiastic about an Obama/Biden ticket, ignoring the deep-felt emotions of fellow humans is not the best way to proceed. Obama doesn't need to salve the feelings of Sen. Clinton so much as he does those of her followers. They deserve more than just "you lost!"

What DOES disturb me the greatest though, is the notion that a large number of Clinton supporters yearn to vote for John McCain this November. If it's to teach Sen. Obama a lesson, it might be considered a case of cutting off one's nose to spite their face.

A friend once remarked to me that Hillary Clinton is the smartest woman in the world. I sharply disagreed, saying that my daughter was the smartest person in the world. So I'm biased.....sue me. Or, it may be one of my two sisters. Or maybe it might have been my mother. I know it isn't my wife because she showed the poor judgment of marrying ME.

But seriously, I mention the above because I'm one of those men who grew up and have lived with a great deal of love and respect for women. My parents fought a lot...imagine George W. Bush and Ralph Nader trapped together in a life raft. That's nothing compared to the fireworks that went on between my mother and father.

It wasn't until the age of six or seven that I learned that "son of a bitch" wasn't one word. I learned lots of words growing up...mostly from the Old Man....and what gaps there were in my vocabulary were quickly filled by two drill instructors at Lackland Air Force Base.

Yet even as one as profane as myself has limits. There are certain words that go outside the bounds of what I consider acceptable. And that's really saying something.

So it came as a bit of a shock to learn that John McCain addressed his wife as a "stupid c***" in front of witnesses. To say it in the privacy of one of their homes would be bad enough, but to let loose such an epithet in public is beyond comprehension.

THAT is what ANY woman contemplating voting for John McCain should consider. It was not a faxu pas; it was a revealing statement of what this man thinks of women. And so what if he'd had a long day...is life in the White House not tiring?

Before pulling the voting lever this November for John McCain, I ask you to consider what your vote means. It would be an endorsement of someone who holds women in contempt. That means my wife, my daughter, my mother, and my sisters. Not to mention all the other women in my life (doctors, lawyers, nurses, waitresses). Not a one of them deserve the "c" word. Even in jest, because there is nothing to joke about here.

It's NOT a small point. It's the only point as far as this voter is concerned.

Women and men are very different. They are also very equal. Anyone who does not grasp that by adulthood hasn't really grown in their hearts or minds.

John McCain should know better. And so should you.

Duke of Madness

Biden Introduction Message

In the old email box tonight was a message from the Obama campaign for President from Senator Joe Biden. If you have been living under a rock this weekend, Obama tapped Joe Biden of Delaware as his Vice Presidential candidate. Anywho, here is part of the message in the form of an attached video…

Video Link

It’s looking like Barack Obama’s pick of Joe Biden is scaring the pants off of the Republican’s and I have come to that deduction by all the piss and vinegar being spat out in the comments of many left leaning blogs. Just the lack of credible facts and just pure hate makes you wonder what has them so afraid? To me, that shows that Obama made one hell of a pick for his Vice President and the run up to election day should be very interesting as they try and declare Obama a Muslim and the Anti-Christ, Biden a racist, Obama an elitist, Biden not credible on foreign affairs and the list goes on and on.

Here are just a few talking points to refute terrified terrorist Republican’s out to poison the waters of truth.

Attack: Barack Obama is a Muslim and the Anti-Christ

Counter Facts: Obama is not a Muslim, never practiced that proud faith, never embraced it but his father was a Muslim. If that is the bar the Republican's want to set then you too are responsible for the life for your biological father's religion and damned for life! Never mind the fact that you may have found your own path to God and your religion or lack there of. Barack Obama has his own personal Christian commitment to Jesus Christ and has had that personal relationship that he was raised in since he was a toddler. Don’t ever question a mans religion as one Christian to another, each Christian’s love and faith in God is a private personal matter and nobody else’s business. As far as being an Anti-Christ, Hitler was Godless, Napolean was Godless, both according to most religious historians searched for personal wealth, power and glory, and not truly for their fellow man. I’m sure the Anti-Christ would not be backing health insurance for all Americans, for that matter ending what can be an endless war in Iraq. Isn’t the Anti-Christ supposed to be pro disease, famine, plague and war? What is shameful is the fact that John McCain is not stepping forward to defend a fellow Christian, a fellow Senator, from this accusation but in fact promoting it.

Attack: Joe Biden is a Racist

Counter Facts: This accusation comes from a conversation Joe Biden was having in regards to his then political opponent in the primaries. A conversation meant in all context as a compliment to Barack Obama as clean and articulate. Obama himself was not offended as an African American and stated so. If you asked who did more for Civil Rights in the last thirty years, the author or co-author of many of the changes people have in todays society were started or worked feverishly for and by Senator Joe Biden. While your checking those facts out then you can also check and see how many of those laws that John McCain voted against.

Attack: Obama/Biden is an elitist

Counter Facts: Um, it takes serious money to be an elitist and last time I checked Barack Obama’s and Joe Biden’s net worth combined is less than $2 million dollars. On the other side of the aisle is John McCain and his wifes net worth set at over $110 million alone. Add Mitt Romney to the Republican ticket come their convention and you have roughly another $175 million dollars in net worth. Is Obama well educated, Harvard likes to think so and he EARNED his high placement in his graduating class while in college. That is not being an elitist, it’s called getting the best out of your education! As for Joe Biden being an elitist, find a union in America that is not supporting Joe Biden and I will show you a Wall Street investment firm. Oh wait a second, they don't have unions on Wall Street. Biden is as middle class as you get as a Senator in Washington.

Attack: Joe Biden is not credible in foreign policy

Counter Facts: ROFLMAO!!! He heads the Foreign Relations Committee in the freaking Senate… LOL, ROFL. Who do you think could name the leaders of most of the nations around the world instantly and correctly? Then tell you the form of government they have, who our Ambassador to that nation is, and tell you a little history of that nation? Joe Biden could! McCain could not even remember the number of houses he has? ROFLOL!!! I’m laughing to hard at this one…

Enough said for now…

Obama and Biden Super Ticket 08’

Early this morning, around 3:00 AM, cell phones across America were buzzing with the Obama campaign news on who the next Vice President will be. Obama officially tapped the very knowledgeable Senator from Delaware, Joe Biden. Two words, EXCELLENT CHOICE!

One of the most important things to think about with Biden as a Vice President pick is the lack of drama associated with his name. There are no issues that he is in conflict with the candidate actually running for President. People love Joe Biden, know Joe Biden, and believe in his abilities to govern as President if God forbid anything happened to Barack Obama. More importantly there is not one other person in the Congress or all of the offices of Governor that can bring and expert opinion on foreign policy. Chuck Todd over at MSNBC has this to say on the subject…

One thing is certain, McCain will now have to step up to the plate with someone equally competent and let me be the first to report that Joe Biden is already taken.

Iowa, New Hampshire and Biden News

Seeing how all of the main stream media television is for the most part delegating Joe Biden’s run for President to the last sentence in every single news broadcast then I guess it is up to the “New Media” to really report the facts. Joe Biden is forming a wave of support and frankly I do not believe that even his own campaign knows that the Biden Tsunami is coming. Much like a Tsunami, the tremors and shocks of the earthquake from all over the United States on the internet and all the blogs supporting him will hit Iowa alone on January 3rd.

Could I offer you a list of blogs writers that are supporting Joe Biden? I can think of four not including myself that have thrown up videos, did posts on or mentioned him as the only person worth voting for in the next Presidential election. That is just my little part of the blogging world. We are breaking three thousand visitors a month here at Papamoka Straight Talk. This is all free media and advertising for Joe Biden, we are not getting paid for this effort and we do not want his money. That is not the case with every single newspaper or television station in Iowa or New Hampshire. You can tell by the major evening news stations that Biden is not spending his hard earned campaign donations with them. “Oh and Joe Biden was in Iowa today.” HUH?

Here is what is really happening according to the Joe Biden camp…

The estimated 250 people at Biden's campaign rally cheered and waved signs, manufactured and homemade, in a scene more typical of the events of Democratic front-runners. "Ladies and gentlemen, I'm gonna shock the hell out of you," Biden said over the din of a cheering crowd Saturday night in an uncharacteristically short speech. He spent less time selling himself and more time answering questions from the audience.

In a working-class city with a strong Irish and Catholic influence, Biden appeals to people, said Teri Goodmann, Iowa co-chairwoman for Biden's campaign. "In spite of people's desire to have the first African-American, the first woman, the first Hispanic, the reality of our lives is that we have a tremendous demand right now in this job for someone who has experience in foreign relations," she said."
- Des Moines Register

Then there is this one…

Take, for example, the Joe Biden event I attended last night in Council Bluffs, about ten minutes after I drove out of the Omaha airport. At least 150, maybe 200 people gathered in an Elks Lodge, during the dinner hour, on a week night with the thermometer reading 18 degrees to hear...Joe Biden! And it was vintage Biden....This went on for two hours and came to an end only when Brother Jim had to literally drag the candidate to a waiting car. At no point did the audience grow restless or bored. After each answer, five or six more hands shot up. The interest was avid and, in fact, Biden's biggest applause line of the night had nothing to do with the usual sort of pandering, bur rather when he vowed that in a Biden administration he would outlaw all forms of torture." - Huffington Post

And then this…

To complicate matters today, the ground in central Iowa was blanketed with snow by early morning, and the highways surrounding Des Moines were littered with cars that had slid off the road. But about 100 people crowded into a public library meeting room to listen to Biden speak.

"He's an honest, good man. He tells it like it is," said Glenda McIntire of Waukee, Iowa. She said she's a long-time supporter. "It's been uphill all the way, but the first time we met here we probably had 15 people. When I see him in person I get revved up again."
- Guardian Unlimited (UK)

Or this on the MSM just ignoring Biden even exists...

Immediately after the assassination of Benazir Bhutto the front page story in the Washington Post about Pakistan and the presidential campaign did not even mention Joe Biden, the only candidate who seriously distinguished himself on the Pakistan crisis.

Upon reflection, the Washington Post editorial page, which has supported Bush on the Iraq war as Pravda supported Leonid Brezhnev, followed up with a lead editorial on candidates and Pakistan, which, incredibly, did not even acknowledge of Joe Biden.

Here is why the major media, including the daily newspapers, has lost such credibility with the American people and in the case of insider print media, so many subscribers who moved their business to internet sites, including this one. - The Liberal Journal

This is going to be an uphill battle to get the word out for Joe Biden by January 3rd but it is not a mountain. We can all do this and if you can’t stand the main stream appointed front runners on the Democrat side of the process then by all means speak up loud and clear. One of the things that I love about Biden besides all of his life experience, political experience and personal candor is the where the majority of the money for his campaign is coming from. Ten bucks here, fifteen bucks here and twenty bucks from over here. There are not to many thousand dollar a plate dinners scheduled in his past or current campaign. That speaks volumes as to whom is really behind the Biden campaign and it isn’t Wall Street or special interest groups. I’m off to box up a couple of dozen rolls of paper towels for the Biden Tsunami in Iowa and New Hampshire.

Bloggers for Biden, leave a link in the comment section and I’ll toss up a Bloggers for Biden list in the sidebar of this site. And for those of you who think the other candidates running for President are not scared of Joe Biden then you have to see this amazing video from YouTube.

Catch the wave and surf it out all the way to the White House in 2009! Four out of five Dentist recommend Joe Biden. Bill Gates will pay you $1000 if you forward this post to ten friends. And some guy in Africa is willing to give me a piece of the action on $30,000,000 from his deceased fathers uncle who was some big wig in the government and all the money he embezzled we can split. Okay, I made up the Dentist thing, the Gates payment and the millions from Africa but you can believe in Joe Biden. That is a sure thing! Check him out at Joebiden.com

Iowa and New Hampshire Decision

All of the main stream media is in a buzz and so are all of the candidates running for President. This is the time of the last dash to the finish line and it is not a time for stupid mistakes by anyone associated with any campaign. Iowa and New Hampshire can pull any single campaign up out of the dust and propel them into super stardom in the next week. Mistakes, errors in judgment, or even a comment taken off the record could kill a campaign.

One thing that is certain in this election is that the people of Iowa and New Hampshire will get a better look at any of the candidates than you and I could ever dream of. Being able to size the candidates up by actually meeting them one on one is the best possible way to cast a vote for the most powerful office in the world. Somehow the actual person in the same room with you and being able to actually interact with them is by far a better way to form an opinion on their ability to serve as President of the United States. Personal chemistry is funny like that.

The next obvious question is if we should trust Iowans or the good folks of New Hampshire with this process of vetting our next political parties choice for President? Peggy Noonan is somewhat asking that same question over at WSJ Opinion Journal…

Be Reasonable
As Iowa sizes up the candidates, so do I.

Friday, December 28, 2007 12:01 a.m. EST

By next week politically active Iowans will have met and tallied their votes. Their decision this year will have a huge impact on the 2008 election, and a decisive impact on various candidacies. Some will be done in. Some will be made. Some will land just right or wrong and wake up the next day to read raves or obits. A week after that, New Hampshire. The endless campaign is in fact nearing its climax.

But all eyes are on Iowa. Iowans bear a heck of a lot of responsibility this year, the first time since 1952 when there is no incumbent president or vice president in the race. All of it is wide open.

Iowa can make Obama real. It can make Hillary yesterday. It can make Huckabee a phenom and not a flash, McCain the future and not the past. Moments like this happen in history. They're the reason we get up in the morning. "What happened?" "Who won?"

This is my 2008 slogan: Reasonable Person for President. That is my hope, what I ask Iowa to produce, and I claim here to speak for thousands, millions. We are grown-ups, we know our country needs greatness, but we do not expect it and will settle at the moment for good. We just want a reasonable person. We would like a candidate who does not appear to be obviously insane. We'd like knowledge, judgment, a prudent understanding of the world and of the ways and histories of the men and women in it.
- Opinion Journal

Putting our faith in the folks living in Iowa and New Hampshire is not the issue. We live in a world of bombardment news and advertisers that simply cash the checks from the political campaigns. Iowans I’m sure are sick to death of the non stop political ads as much as the people of New Hampshire are. And in that respect the advertisement are not the candidates.

We should be thankful that our election process is not full of the blood boiling hate that is found in some parts of the world. Places where a candidate is shot at and a suicide bomber detonates his opinion maker that kills the candidate as well as anyone in close proximity. My heart goes out to the people of Pakistan with the assassination of Benazir Bhutto. Her candidacy could have had a huge impact on the much needed changes in that part of the world if she were elected.

If elected is a key point for all of the candidates running here in America as well. America needs substance in our next President and not someone that gives a great speech. We need someone that knows the world issues just as well as they know the street map of our nations capitol. They will need to know how to drive from the White House over to the House to get the job done as it should be done. Selling ideas is not about who can stand the firmest on their soap box, its about who is willing to move that soap box over to the folks that will listen and actually think about your ideas, be convinced about your ideas, and vote for them. That has been the mistake of the house of Bush and the house of Clinton.

One of things mentioned to me over and over again is the thought that our nation has been taken over by two families for more than two decades. Starting with Papa Bush with one term of four years and then moving on to Bill Clinton and eight years, followed by Junior W Bush with another eight years. Can America truly survive if ruled by two families for close to thirty years if Hillary Clinton is elected President and possibly serves two terms?

So what are the choices facing the people of Iowa and New Hampshire?

From the Democrats, something isn’t right about Hillary and her having Billy take over her campaign. It screams of “I’m not really doing this, Bill is!” but I could be wrong. Then again, if she could not keep an eye on what his sexual tensions were as first lady then what the hell is she going to do as President. I don’t think we need the FBI to be renamed FBB or FIND BILL’s BABES. Enough with the Clinton legacy of endless political scandals.

Barack Obama, probably a nice guy. Most likely one of the most highly educated people in the run for President but being book smart does not always make you common sense smart. During every single debate he was slapped down by people that actually know about world events on the same stage. Vice President, hell yes! President, not this go round.

John Edwards… No! Your wife is dying of cancer and you have something better to do? God bless his wife Elizabeth for letting him go out and play while she is facing her last days. The character of a man is shown on how he treats his wife no matter her wishes. If he bowed out of this race, in four years he would have a solid chance at the Presidency because he bowed out simply to care for the love of his life, his wife. Huge family values bump.

Meat and Potatoes of this election is in Joe Biden’s campaign. He isn’t running on dollars from the political elite contributors in the Democrat Party. He’s running on the same gas as Ron Paul. Grass roots and people to people. He isn’t counting on anyone in the media to support him because he is not sending them all checks to cash. He has however criss crossed all of Iowa to talk to the people one on one. One of things I like about Joe Biden is that he is not owned by any special interest group. His personal wealth of knowledge on anything happening here at home or abroad is not delegated to a staffer on what he should say, he just speaks his mind. That is the best you could ever get. When it comes to crossing party lines, if it is right then Joe is Right! That fact is something that will sell come the general election come next November that will be the deciding factor. No other candidate can do what he does and win the Oval Office in the Democrat Party.

But I’m sure that the people of Iowa and New Hampshire already know that simply because they have met Joe Biden one on one all across their states.

Do not be surprised if the good people of Iowa and New Hampshire vote for substance over spin. I have faith that they will vote for a realistic choice for President.

As for the Republicans, umm, over at the Gun Toting Liberal he has this latest melt down from the Giuliani campaign. Crooks and Liars has it too… Muslims are bad people? I didn’t say it the Giuliani camp did!

Catch the Biden Wave

While Hillary and Barack think they have the lead tied in Iowa they are forgetting that the real substance of this election is stepping around their brow beating to get the folks attention. While catch phrases sound great on a commercial they really do not work when you actually talk to the people of Iowa. Studied answers to the obvious questions might make a candidate sound knowledgeable but it’s the 101st question that starts them to stuttering. That will eventually lead to the question never being answered because a twenty three year old staffer never thought of it.

Joe Biden is running for President because he does have the answers we as a nation need to hear. Sometimes the truth is better than total avoidance to our national dilemmas. As much as the main stream media would like you to believe that this election is a popularity contest or beauty pageant it is not that at all. America has some serious problems that have been growing for almost eight years now and pretending they do not exist will not fix the need to have them all rectified as soon as possible. Having a political candidate that can and has worked across party lines on the most difficult issues our nation has faced is what substance is all about. Joe Biden has shown that ability time and time again. There is a reason why the name Biden and McCain are linked on many hot political issues. They both have had the political guts to tackle them head on and work together to try and resolve them.

With that being said, Biden is pulling out of the ranks of non contenders and I’m sure he will pull close to second or even first in Iowa simply because he tells the truth. Iowans are big on the truth. Joe is full of it and he isn’t afraid to speak his mind. Real life is not television and our nations government is not Hollywood. Hillary and Barack Obama may be able to bombard the airwaves for canned reasons to vote for them but Biden still speaks the truth every single day. Over at the Washington Post they have this little linked to article on Joe Biden…

Biden Pushes for 3rd in Iowa Caucuses
By BETH FOUHY
The Associated Press
Friday, December 21, 2007; 5:02 PM

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Joe Biden's aides call it "Mo-Joe" _ a last-minute surge of momentum and good luck they hope could power the Delaware senator into a better-than-expected showing in Iowa's leadoff caucuses.

"There's a fingertip instinct that tells me something is going on. I feel like I'm still in the game," Biden said in a telephone interview as he traveled to a campaign event in Cedar Rapids.

Aides acknowledge it remains an uphill trudge for Biden, a Democrat whose distinguished 35-year Senate career has been eclipsed by the star power of rivals Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama.

But with all eyes on those two candidates and former Sen. John Edwards as they compete for the lead in Iowa, Biden is on a high-energy sprint across the state hoping to catch on with enough voters to make a difference.
- Washington Post

One of the things that I admire about Joe Biden is that he does not have to reinvent himself to make you want to vote for him. In one breath he can explain what we as a nation should be doing about foreign policy and in the next breath what we need to do about our growing energy needs. Skip a breath and he can tell us what our immigration policy should be and how we can fix the 12 to 16 million illegal aliens in our midst. Fast forward and he can talk monetary policy or rebuilding our nations crippled infrastructure. Miss a breath and he can tell us what realistically needs to be done to fix our nations education system. Take a deeper breath and he can recite from memory historical events that are relevant to our quagmire in Iraq. Only Joe Biden has an in depth plan to get us out from under Iraq that is realistic. At no time is he forsaking our military or our nations flag to do it either.

You may ask how Joe Biden can do all of this with full experience and not blink and eye or say “ummm?” when put on the hot seat for the hot questions. Simple answer to that is his many years of experience in the Senate trying to fix our nations problems. Even with overwhelming odds he has crossed party lines for the greater good without care for public opinion when he thought it was the right thing to do. Joe Biden lives for this nation because he is not a Wall Street bought and paid for candidate. He is obligated to none. His integrity is unquestionable. Can the other candidates from all political parties state that as a fact?

That all being said, voting for the truth when the primary elections hit my state comes down to experience and getting over the negligence of the past eight years. Moderate Liberals and Conservatives prefer real substance over a manipulated campaign based on what we need to hear. We just might have had enough of window dressing and canned responses from all of the political candidates from both sides of the race. Thus, Joe Biden is the moderate answer to both political parties and the chance for a change in the status quo. On both sides of the political aisle there is far to much rhetoric and excuses that point across the aisle. Maybe we just need a President that simply tells the truth to his people and is beholding to not one person other than you and I. Would that not be a total change in current politics or what?

I have faith in Iowans that they will know who is realistic and who is passing the buck on what our nation really needs. It does not take a political genius to see who the ones that are selling sound bites and who is just talking the truth. Joe Biden will be sipping a cup of coffee down at the corner luncheon with real Iowans while the rock star political rallies are happening over at the Clinton and Obama scheduled ticketed stops. Politics in America is not always about who has the most money to spend but whom has the most substance. Iowa is the proving ground for this election and I trust the people of Iowa. Joe does too.

Let me leave you with just this video from Joe and his heart about his dedication to this nation, ruled under God, ruled under men.
