Corruption in Our Government

Where do you draw the line on corruption in your government. I am so upset with these people that claim to be the party of American Values but hide a ton of skeletons in their closets. Politics is a nasty business in its own right but having a political party like the Republicans control our nations future for so long has made it okay to screw over the American people. Investigations turn up nothing damaging a year or two later and yet a crime was committed against our nations rules and laws.

Americans have to face the facts that our government has been Hi-Jacked by big business and the folks steering the ship could give not one care as to the crew manning the ship. The Jane and Joe six pack is not part of the scenario in their eyes. We are the ones you step on to get to the next record quarterly profit statement.

Even the Conservatives are bitching that the party of Ronald Reagan has been taken over by the likes of people that never understood his mentality or philosophy. It is a shame on the Republican Party that crimes are committed for the sake of moving the political agenda forward.

Where does the ordinary Jane and John Doe of America draw the line as to where America should be going? You vote. You vote for change even though it isn’t a candidate not in your party. You vote for change. You vote for what is right and toss the liars and thieves out of your government.

Many folks are saying they will stay home on November 7th and that is a very wrong thing to do. Your vote is important to America and to yourself. Voting gives you the right to say I approve of this policy of corruption or I disapprove.

I’m a Reagan Democrat and I am voting the scandalous party out of office and you should too! Staying home on election day tells the people of this great country that you do not care. Your voice is not important. If you are pissed off at the corruption then say so on November 7th.

Defending the Children is Common Sense

Politics are what they are and it has the Republican Party covering their tracks as fast as they can when it comes to former Representative Mark Foley of Florida. This is the guy that prayed on children in the House Page program. It turns out that some of the folks on the hill thought it was okay to look the other way when a pedophile walked down the right side of the isle. That was wrong in so many ways. To cover it up for over six long years is even more wrong in so many ways.

Being a child and serving in this program is a great honor to the kids that have been chosen to serve their nation. Powerful men and woman walk the halls of the building that these kids are serving in. Important people that are supposed to be serving the American people and making our nation a better place to live.

Will a child in the pages service question the authority or actions of a Congressmen when their intentions are beyond the call of duty for that child? Well a few have and that is why we have this scum upon our nations capitol. It’s a sick and greasy kind of scum that when you smell it you know that it is sour, spoiled, and a stench that grown men would vomit over.

Denis Hastert didn’t find this stench offensive enough and he isn’t being honest with the American people. If you are told once that a person is having inappropriate behavior with page staffers that is one thing. When you are told repeatedly by several different people in the Congress then you are harboring a terrorist against our children. Denis Hastert, the Speaker of the House covered this up no matter what angle you try to look at this issue. He protected a pedophile over the rights of a child to be just a child.

I would prefer a government of leaders that will defend and protect our children but if Denis Hastert’s idea of leadership is to cover the ass of the pedophiles then he does not need to serve my government anymore. Respectfully, Mr. Hastert should resign and leave the service to his nation and state.

The people of his district that voted him in should take a second look at the shame he has also brought onto them by his failure to protect the kids in the page program.

Testimony on Mark Foley in Closed Doors?

This is huge on my things that make you go Hmmmmm?

House Ethics Committee investigators Thursday began questioning Kirk Fordham, the ex-chief of staff for former representative Mark Foley, who is expected to testify that he alerted a senior member of Speaker J. Dennis Hastert's staff to Foley's behavior toward teenage male congressional pages in 2003.
Fordham, who arrived with his lawyer, made no comment as the two entered the closed-door session.
- Washington Post

Does it strike you that somebody in Washington D.C. doesn't want the rest of the world knowing what is going on behind closed doors? I smell something but can't put my finger on it? Could it be more of the same with the cover up of the Mark Foley pedophile issue? I wonder. Who made it a closed door session? Why isn't the media allowed in to hear the testimony of this guy or anyone else for that matter.

Is this just more of the same cover up or just normal policy when a crime has been committed in our nations capitol? I have a sick feeling in my stomach that these folks are going to blame the kids for Foley and toss the entire investigation of six years of a pedophile amongst them in the dumpster.

Republican crimes against our society in the midst of our government are tossed aside. Why don't we spin this one to blame the kids for being kids and Foley was just being Foley? Psssttt, it is a crime to pray on children Mr. Speaker.

Full speed ahead with a recall on Denny Hastert and anyone else that knew about this going as far back as it did! We are not talking last week either, we are talking over half a decade or more! All the while they let him champion issues from concerned parents for crimes against children.

Things that make you go Hmmmm?

Bush and the Lies

President Bush is out on the campaign trail spinning away from the kids and the cover up in Washington that should have had Denny Hastert retiring without question once the Rep. Mark Foley story broke. Politically there is no spin to this situation and the President knows it is in his own parties politcal interst to keep up the status quo rather than defend children. I'm thinking the first lady is pretty pissed off with her hubby defending a known pedophile by default. Then again I'm just a registered voter with an opinion.

Protecting Children After Rep. Mark Foley

I can not see a more passionate reason for Americans to distrust the Republican Leadership of this Bush Adminsitration than the former Congressman Mark Foley (R) FL handling of his desire to be a predator on young male children in sevice to our government. Rather than speak the truth and say it was wrong to face the facts when they arose Denis Hastert has choosen to hide and dodge the facts that will come out over the next few days.

The terminology of no honor among thieves is wide spread in the Republican Party and eveyone is pointing everywhere else to lay blame. I am so glad to see that! It finally pastes the deception of the last six years all over the media. The party of pure American values is now the party of shame and push it to the back of the closet. Hastert pushed it back, Thomas Reynolds pushed it back, Rodney Alexander pushed it back, John Boehner pushed it back and John Shimkus who ran the page program pushed it back as if it never happened. That tells me that pedophiles have a full run of the administration when so many pushed it to the back of the party politic.

You can hear the crickets on capitol hill from the Democrats side of the isle and for a damn good reason. They are leaving the blame game up to others and frankly I honestly believe that they should be screaming at the top of their lungs how wrong this whole thing is. Honor is fleeting in our nations capitol. Even more so when their is blood in the water. When it is our childrens blood I have a serious issue with the silence.

This issue with the Congressman being a child predator isn't just something that happened this week. This has been going on for years and nobody said a friging word. Nobody talked! Not one Republican called the well known number of 911 for the District of Columbia or maybe asked for the number for the FBI? They sat on the Foley problem and hoped it would go away but it didn't. More deception and more bait and switch once the story broke.

So many people are outraged at this issue that even the folks at Fox are picking up the cross and running with it for the kids.

The winds of change are upon us and we as the other parties have to stand up for America. Child predators and political affiliation is now an issue that is disgustingly now a verifiable and just topic even though anyone with any common sense knows that it is simply wrong.

I'm looking at a Democratic landslide come November. The "R" next to any candidates name is enough to not get the vote seeing the behavior of leaders like Denis Hastert to not accept responsibility for crimes against children when he was informed about it.

Representatives Mark Foley, Denis Hastert, Thomas Reynolds and the Republican Pedophile Cover Up

Politically speaking there is a ton of crap you can get away with and smile to the voters on Election Day. One thing that you can never recover from is being accused of being a child predator or a pedophile. Karl Rove was speaking about an October surprise for the Republican Party to sway the American people’s opinion back to the right; I hope that this was not it.

It seems to me that it was far more important in these distinguished gentlemen’s eye that hushing this situation up to protect Congressman Foley (R) FL was far more important than the child or children he was deviantly praying upon. The story from the Washington Post has this den of thieves all pointing somewhere else and it is a must read.

House Speaker J. Dennis Hastert (R-Ill.) was notified early this year of inappropriate e-mails from former representative Mark Foley (R-Fla.) to a 16-year-old page, a top GOP House member said yesterday -- contradicting the speaker's assertions that he learned of concerns about Foley only last week.
Hastert did not dispute the claims of
Rep. Thomas M. Reynolds (R-N.Y.), and his office confirmed that some of Hastert's top aides knew last year that Foley had been ordered to cease contact with the boy and to treat all pages respectfully. – Washington Post

My good friend over at the Gun Toting Liberal could not have put my thoughts on this whole matter any better.

You know something; this isn’t even about POLITICS, it’s about CHILDREN and their right to live without fear of pedophiles, and when some of our nation’s highest ranking politicians are PROTECTING pedophiles just because of their lust for power and the control of the purse strings of our tax dollars, it rises beyond “sick”; it rises beyong “perverted”; it rises beyond “illegal”; and it clearly crosses the threshold of completely UNACCEPTABLE. Anybody who participates in covering the tracks of a public enemy needs to be held accountable for their crimes. – Gun Toting Liberal

Let’s see Rush Limbaugh or Bill O’Rielly politically spin this one in a positive way. In my mind everyone that covered this up is just as guilty as Rep. Foley and deserves the exit this November.
