Fed Okays Vaccine Abuse of Kids

All parents should be concerned with the contents of various vaccines that are given to their children.  That is common sense.  Some manufacturers use some products and compounds that have been shown and proven to cause serious long term health side affects such as Mercury.  It is better to err on the side of caution than take the vaccine if the end result is possible damage to the child's health  down the road.

In upstate New York a mother refused to sign a consent form to have her kindergarten child vaccinated against an outbreak of H1N1.  They vaccinated the child anyway.  She sued and won in state court.  Then in federal court that decision was overruled.

Health Impact News is reporting on the story.

The Appellate Division concluded on Nov. 21 that PREP pre-empts state law claims. PREP contains an express pre-emption clause stating that, during a declared public health emergency, “no state … may establish, enforce or continue in effect with respect to a covered countermeasure any provision of law or legal requirement that (A) is different from, or is in conflict with, any requirement applicable under this section; and (B) related to the … use, … dispensing or administration by qualified persons of the covered countermeasure,” Peters wrote.

A “qualified person” includes licensed health professionals, and liability protections in pandemics “are specifically provided for” in PREP, she added.

“Considering the breadth of the preemption clause together with the sweeping language of the statute’s immunity provision, we conclude that Congress intended to preempt all state law tort claims arising from the administration of covered countermeasures by a qualified person pursuant to a declaration by the Secretary [of Health and Human Services],” the decision states.

The justices said they were “unpersuaded” by Parker’s claim that immunity under PREP did not extend to anyone administering a drug without consent.

“The immunity provisions of the PREP Act are triggered where, as here, the vaccines are purchased pursuant to a federal contract or agreement,” Peters wrote.

PREP also created the Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program, which handles claims by individuals who suffer adverse reactions to devices, medications or therapies that have been recommended for use in public health emergencies, the decision notes.

Peters further noted that separate federal causes of action exist for wrongful death or serious physical injury resulting from misconduct by licensed health professionals.

“The provision of these exclusive federal remedies further supports our finding of preemption,” she wrote.
Since a federal cause of action is “the exclusive remedy” under PREP, “the complaint must be dismissed for lack of subject matter jurisdiction,” the decision states.

That my friends is child abuse with government approval.  I would urge the mother of this child to appeal to the SCOTUS.  Big brother does not have the right to abuse your child.

Thank you Sonia B. for the news tip...

Senator Boxer Fires Kiddy Porn Aide

When it comes to any form of abuse against children I get my blood to boiling and my fingers to typing about it. Senator Barbara Boxer of California fired an aide that was linked to distributing child pornography last week upon learning of the improper and subhuman behavior by her staffer. Way to go Senator Boxer! Hint to Republican Senators, Congressman, and former Speakers of the House, this is how you deal with scumbags amongst your staff. You don’t hide it, you don’t run from it, you fire the perverts! You defend children no matter who is the public servant. Simple enough.

I found this over at the Houston Chronicle and this is what they have to say on it…

WASHINGTON — A high-level aide to California Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer has been charged in federal court with receiving and distributing child pornography.

The aide, Jeff Rosato, 32, was arrested last Friday. Boxer's office fired him that same day upon learning of the charges.

Rosato appeared in federal court in suburban northern Virginia on Wednesday and was released to home detention on condition he not interact with children or use a computer. He was not required to post bail or bond money but is being told to undergo medical treatment.

"On Friday, the Justice Department informed our office of criminal charges made against a Senate employee. Sen. Boxer has zero tolerance for crimes against children, and the employee was immediately terminated," Boxer spokeswoman Natalie Ravitz said in a statement Thursday. "Our office is cooperating fully with the Department of Justice in this matter."

There’s more…

According to an affidavit by FBI special agent Chad Gallagher supporting the criminal complaint and arrest warrant, Rosato was tracked through a now-defunct Google program called Google Hello. He allegedly exchanged hundreds of pornographic images with another user who'd been sharing child porn images and movies with an undercover detective posing as a 13-year-old boy.

Investigators subpoenaed Google Inc. and Comcast in order to identify Rosato and last week executed a search warrant on his Arlington, Va., home, seizing computers and hard drives.

A preliminary review of Rosato's personal laptop computer, which was in his bedroom, found 200 child porn images and some videos, according to the affidavit. "Many of the images and videos depict prepubescent boys engaged in sexual acts," the affidavit stated.
- Houston Chronicle

Finally, we are seeing how our government leaders should lead. If a child was harmed, or you get off looking at kiddie porn and you work for the government, OUT YOU GO! We don’t need that kind of public servant and Senator Boxer was right on the money by firing his sorry ass.

I know that many people will think that you are innocent till proven guilty but I would have a hard time thinking that the Justice Department was investigating this man as a way to get at Senator Boxer. Or would they? The end result is that this child porno deviant will not be on the payroll for the taxpayers anymore. Rightfully so!

Now for the twist to this post, did I just hang a man without proving him guilty? I think I did! Does that make me a bad liberal for having no tolerance for perverts without knowing all the facts of the case first? I think it does. If I had an ACLU card they would revoke it instantly but I don’t have one so Thbbbt! I'm going to hell for convicting this man here but I happen to believe that pedophiles are not wired right in the head and if they are actively looking for child pornography then they are actively looking to engage in that same act. I'll fight for the kids first any day of the week and gladly be wrong on the side of caution.

Protect the kids first, let the lawyers and courts decide if this man is innocent or guilty. Boxer was right to fire him instantly and I don’t have a single problem with that. Congrats to you Senator Boxer for having the guts to do what is right.

Pre-Teen Bikini Wax?

This is just idiot Mom’s being freaking idiots! All across America people are actually showing up with their baby girls that are eight and twelve years old for a bikini wax before the babies even hit puberty? These people are just nuts. Somebody call DSS or Family Services for an abuse case or something on these nut jobs.

I’m not defending this kind of behavior but I’ve actually paid for a gift certificate to the salon my wife goes too so that she and my five daughters could get pedicures where my baby girls get their feet and toes washed, massaged and the toe nails painted together for a Mother’s Day gift so I feel almost guilty in this twisted mess that MSNBC is reporting on… I could never picture this kind of child abuse or even make it up! Here is what MSNBC has to say on it...

Too young? Preteen girls get leg, bikini waxes
Moms are bringing daughters to spas for hair removal before puberty

By Vidya Rao
TODAY staff
updated 6:07 p.m. ET, Wed., Aug. 13, 2008

Philadelphia aesthetician Melanie Engle, whose specialty is eyebrow shaping, is no stranger to odd requests. But nothing prepared her for being asked by one client to book a bikini wax appointment for her 8-year-old daughter.

“The first thing I had to do was try and stay calm, and not yell ‘What are you thinking?’ ” said Engle. “This wasn’t about the girl developing hair early — it was the mother’s obsession with wanting her daughter to be a supermodel.”

Waxing body hair — from the simple shaping of an eyebrow arch to the painful transformation of the bikini line — has long been a rite of passage for adult women. But now, more mothers around the U.S. are taking their tweens — kids 10 to 12 years old and some even younger — to salons to get body hair removed.
- MSNBC

Somebody shoot me in the head if I find out that this kind of crap is being done to my baby girls up to age 18 and I did nothing to stop it! When my baby girls are eighteen, then it is their choice of torture for vanity sake. Anyone looking at a ten or twelve year old or for that matter any child’s bikini line alteration of hair for appearance sake or vanity is just sick. Eight year olds do not need legs waxed or for that matter anything on thier bodies done too!

What ever happened to buying your kid some dolls and just letting them be children? This is sick and any salon requested to do a “Bikini Wax” on any child under the age of eighteen should have to report it to the authorities. This is just too (Expletive) far from fixing your baby girls teeth with braces. Who the hell does this to their kids? What the (Expletive) are they thinking? Then you have to wonder what is freaking next for their baby girls?

All you have to look at to see how this kind of child abuse comes about is all the magazines, television advertisements, billboards, and the list goes on selling the beauty of a young woman to sell makeup, cars, and any product you might want to purchase. Somewhere in our humanity as American’s we forgot to let children just grow up and be themselves. Instead of molding them in the values we ourselves learned as children, some of us are raising them in the value they can potentially become to us and offered up as a sexual tool to sell crap? Call it what it is, giving an eight year old a bikini wax is child abuse. Make no doubt about it. This is not a political issue, this is freaking common sense!

If we ignore this fact of abuse then these kids will grow up to be the next generation to come that looks at all children as pawns to be manipulated with a dollar sign on thier bodies. What kind of values on child protection do you think they will have to give to the babies they will once raise? If it was good enough for them? So be it or worse for thiers!

Sick, just sick!

NY AG Kills Child Porn at the Source… About Time!

One of the things that turns my stomach is anyone that can look at a child and be sexually aroused. It simply defies common sense why our nations legal system has not trounced out this form of trash on the internet to begin with? Granted they could only enforce real laws on websites based in the United States but it’s a damn start. You can chase child abusers all day long but if you don’t go to the source that feeds their sick mental thoughts then you can never end the plague on our children.

Over at the Washington Post they have this to say on it…

Internet Providers to Block Child Pornography Sites

By Peter Whoriskey
Washington Post Staff Writer
Tuesday, June 10, 2008; 2:38 PM

Some of the nation's largest Internet service providers have agreed to block connections to newsgroups and Web sites that offer child pornography, according to an announcement today by the New York State Attorney General's Office.

The move follows an eight-month child pornography investigation. The probe turned up 88 newsgroups involving11,390 sexually lewd photos featuring prepubescent children. Among them were photos of children being raped and sexual activity involving animals, according to state Attorney General Andrew M. Cuomo.

The agreements with Sprint, Verizon and Time Warner Cable are expected to hold nationwide. It was not immediately known why the nation's other large Internet service providers were not party to the agreement.
- Washington Post

It looks to me like it is time to turn the heat up on the rest of our nations internet suppliers to ban child pornography access! This kind of internet use is not covered under the first amendment to the Constitution by any means and anyone that thinks it should be is dead wrong. First off, if the owners of these websites are putting pictures up of children being sexually abused then they are in fact contributing to a crime against children. Somewhere in America an internet provider is making those child pornography web pages available. That my friends is also contributing to the sexual abuse of children and unacceptable in my eyes.

Where the hell are all the Liberal Democrats in Congress to get behind this initiative taken by the New York Attorney General? If they aren’t interested then maybe the strong arm Republican’s with their “Family Values” agenda should trounce on it! I don’t care what political party runs with this torch, they will have my full support.

Given the current political culture in our nations capitol, I fear that the lights are on but nobody is home. Once more this mission to save our children must go to the states to initiate. If you are reading this and care about children growing up without abuse then email this post and the entire article to your State Attorney General.

Change doesn’t happen because you read a blog or news article. If Attorney General Andrew M. Cuomo of New York can get it done then so can your Attorney General! Internet providers need to take action and the law is on the side of the children… Thank God!

Dirty Tricks by DSS… NO KIDDING!!!

A very good online friend turned me on to this great site with some real insight on how DSS really works. The site that my friend Jeff from WormTown Taxi turned me onto is MassOutrage. This site is a godsend to a blogger going for the jugular of an agency that sucks the life out of good families simply because they can.

Here I was thinking that honesty is the best policy when you have nothing to hide. Was I stupid! Apparently, the best advice when dealing with DSS is to shut the hell up. Everything you say is going to be used against you to take your children from you simply because they can.

Frankly, if this is normal untold policy of DSS then we have the Gastapo of WWII Germany alive and well and flourishing in our state government. Replace Jews, Gypsies, and the mentally ill with innocent parents and you have the equivalent of the Holocaust here in Massachusetts and an agency out of control looking to separate children from their parents that have done nothing wrong.

Apparently, dirty tricks are alive and well at DSS and Mass Outrage has a list of misdirection that DSS will use…

Dirty Trick No. One -
The DSS will pretend to help you, when they are really gathering evidence to take your children. It's a new police state out there.

Dirty Trick No. Two -
The DSS will try to get you to talk. SHUT UP!! Everything you say will be used against you in a court of law to take and keep your children.

Dirty Trick No. Three -
DSS agents will abuse and traumatize your children themselves.

Dirty Trick No. Four -
The DSS will try to get one parent to say incriminating things about the other, especially about domestic abuse.

Dirty Trick No. Five -
The DSS will try to get your child to make ‘disclosures' about you, using manipulation, coercion, and fear.

Dirty Trick No. Six -
The DSS will try to make sure you get a lawyer who will work with them, not against them.

Dirty Trick No. Seven -
After DSS takes your children, the court must give you a hearing within 72 hours. They rarely do. At the hearing, DSS will rarely meet the legal standard for keeping custody of your children, but will do so anyway.

Dirty Trick No. Eight -
The DSS agent will try to get into your home to do an assessment, but will use the evidence gathered there against you to take your children.

Dirty Trick No. Nine -
The DSS has a network of "mandated reporters" everywhere your child is, to snitch on you. All helping professionals are required to report you to DSS if they suspect abuse; The people you think will help you will now betray you.

Dirty Trick No. Ten -
If DSS takes your children, they will keep them a year, and try to adopt them out - They earn up to hundreds of thousands of dollars per year per child taken, and keep a lot of cronies in work.

Dirty Trick No. Eleven -
The DSS will try to get you to sign a "service plan" that will incriminate you, and help them get information to make their case against you.

Dirty Trick No. Twelve -
The DSS will withhold key records that you need to make your case, even though they are required by law to give them to you.

Dirty Trick No. Thirteen -
The DSS allows you to challenge their findings of abuse - But their own agents do the review, and call it a "Fair Hearing".

Dirty Trick No. Fourteen -
The DSS will rarely let you visit your children, and will not let you show affection when you do.

Dirty Trick No. Fifteen -
Although the law requires the DSS to place your children with relatives, if available, they will try to stop it.

Dirty Trick No. Sixteen -
The DSS will keep you from any legal challenge to their custody of your children for a year or more.

Dirty Trick No. Seventeen -
If the DSS can't get you for abuse or neglect, it will get you for not stopping abuse and neglect by your partner i.e., "Safety issues".

List courtesy of Mass Outrage

I'm outraged! Here I was thinking that I was working with professionals that care for kids as much as we care and understanding our lot in life. I don’t think so anymore. The ACLU mailed us a list of lawyers that will work pro-bono to help us. We plan to use it.
Note to Governor Patrick, if you care about child abuse then know all the facts about an agency under your watch that is out of control!

Mass DSS Has Some Hacks!

*****This post was originally posted on 5/25/2008 and taken down by myself in order to give the parties involved time to contact our family. The only contact we have had has been a DSS worker looking for any excuse for turning up the heat on the open case she has against our family. Thank you Governor Patrick for contributing nothing. You just lost my political vote and backing.

In the past I used to respect Social Workers for the hard job that they have to do. Who wants to be the person that has to take a child away from an abusive parent? You couldn’t pay me enough to do that kind of job but people do it and most of them do it well. “Most of them” is the key words in that last sentence. What is truly scary about the job they have to do is that sometimes the investigators miss the obvious signs of child abuse and that is when you read about the screw ups in the newspapers or in blogs like this one read by thousands per month.

I happen to be one of those people that loves his children so much that if it were my life or theirs I would give mine up for them in one single heartbeat. No questions, my babies no matter what age, my life for theirs is not a question in my mind.

DSS is not perfect and while they are witch hunting good parents they tend to really screw up when it comes to animals that claim to be parents. Time and again the failures are evident that the system that DSS social workers go by is broken or the criteria of a perfect world is looked at differently from one case worker to the next. Meanwhile kids get abused while on their watch and The Enterprise has this on the latest Mass DSS screw up…

No more apologies for failures of DSS

The Enterprise
Posted Mar 21, 2008 @ 11:11 PM

BROCKTON — It is no longer open to debate: the state Department of Social Services is a dysfunctional agency whose collective actions and systemic negligence are intolerable and border on criminal.

The case involving the 7-year-old Middleboro boy who was beaten and burned by someone is just the latest fiasco that has DSS officials admitting they made errors.

Snippet

But DSS had visited the family following allegations of abuse and never found a problem despite Rebecca’s father awaiting trial at the time for rape of a minor.
Yeah, we missed the boat on that one, DSS said after Rebecca’s death.

Haleigh Poutre, Aidyn Hudson, Dontel Jeffers, the Warren, Mass., home where 10 children were beaten and sexually abused for a decade; the list isn’t endless but it is maddening and, when one thinks about the pain and suffering inflicted on helpless children, heart-wrenching.

DSS’ actions in the Riley and Poutre cases triggered a legislative investigation and recommendations. Among those was the recently passed bill that allows DSS to collect and maintain information on unsubstantiated reports of child abuse and neglect to assist in future risk and safety assessments of children and families.

But admitting problems after the fact is no longer good enough. Children are dying and being maimed for life because of – take your pick – budgetary underfunding, politicized administration, inept training and overwhelmed case workers.
- Enterprise News

No matter how you look at it as a parent that loves your children you too can be accused of child abuse anonymously. I for one would hope and pray that they would investigate any neglect even if the accuser is unknown. Every child is important and needs to be protected. BUT!!! Big old BUTT, fat and flabby butt! What if the parents are innocent?

Take the for instance this scenario where your child just left a locked mental health state institution after ten months where she was diagnosed with all kinds of interesting mental health issues. Hearing voices, cutting herself, multiple personalities, and tried swallowing a couple of batteries during her stay to try and kill herself. Medication had her stabilized enough to come home and go back to public schools. The underlying issues of her illness are still there and she accuses both parents of neglect at school.

One year later, DSS is still involved in our lives and looking for excuses to punish us because there are four sisters below her. There is no legal proof of abuse but DSS comes every single month and looks at us as guilty first and we need to prove our innocence over a year later still. Kind of reminds me of France in the 1800’s where you are jailed for stealing a loaf of bread till you pay for the stolen loaf of bread.

There is no abuse of children in this home and there never will be. I recently was laid off from my job and the DSS worker accused me over the phone of neglect and abuse because I could not pay the $1200 per month for medical insurance from my former employer. Note for the record, my oldest that was discharged from DMH has her own insurance from Mass Health. To which I called her on the carpet and told her to file her 51A on Mass Health for holding up our family insurance two months after my layoff. Hack! None of our other four daughters are on any medical prescriptions needed for any medical condition. Hack!

Our DSS worker is looking for any excuses to attack my family and I happen to have a rather large blog in Worcester. I have my voice locally and I have my voice nationally on many other blogs of note. If they want to come after my family, I will defend my honor and my family name. I can come up with more buffoonery at DSS than they think ever possible. This is war!

You do not threaten a good mother and a good father with neglect and abuse and not expect repercussions when they are innocent. Live by the sword and all that stuff. I’ll forsake the sword for the keyboard and bury them with bad publicity that will be picked up nationally by many main stream well read publications. I’m looking forward to the challenge. DSS is a public servant and they tend to mess up pretty much every day. That doesn’t look well in the public eye. I’m done being the nice guy and working with these public servant hacks showing up in my home with a noose and not one solid form of evidence to show neglect. I’m up for the fight.

Anyone with a story relevant to Hacks at DSS please feel free to comment. I’d love to talk with you and post your DSS horror story.

DSS Hacks not Doing Their Jobs!

Just for giggles I was over at the DSS site for Mass and I found the link to how they can take your children away from you if you are accused of neglect. Child abuse is not something to look the other way at and I for one support protecting children first. Kids need to grow up in a safe environment and most parents provide that home to their children.

What about the abuse of the system when DSS looks the other way simply because they have other case with less stringent accusations to investigate? What about the kids that just didn’t seem important enough to the DSS investigator to go the extra mile to find the child and parents till it was too late?

This case from July of 2007 shows the negligence of DSS in Mass and how they dropped the ball and the child paid the price for their mistake. Boston.com has this on Bryan James and his abuse of children that I covered here back in the day as well…

NEW BEDFORD -- As doctors continued caring for a mutilated 3-year-old, allegedly bitten and battered by her mother's live-in boyfriend, Department of Social Services officials said yesterday that social workers investigating early-warning signs of suspected abuse said she was never home when they visited so they did not complete their inquiry.

As a result, the girl was left to live four more months with the couple, a man who had been convicted on assault and biting charges, and her mother, who prosecutors say was willing to cover for him.

The girl first came to the attention of DSS officials in January, after suffering a broken tooth and bruising that a physician called suspected abuse. DSS officials said they were unable to find and interview the girl, delaying any legal action on their part. New Bedford police, meanwhile, dropped their investigation after accepting explanations for the injuries given by Jessica Silveira, 26, the girl's mother.
- Boston.com

Was there a parent that was not packing the proper snacks for their child’s school lunch that warranted it being investigated? Maybe a parent that was late for a school pick up was being investigated? Or it could have been that the family bread winner lost his job and the insurance could no longer provide for medical coverage? Medical coverage is mandated by the state of Mass and if you don’t have it, you are doubly screwed and DSS can file neglect charges because of the lack of medical coverage.

The land of the free has been replaced by the Soviet Union of bureaucrats in the ultimate model of the perfect peoples collective. That state would be alive and well in the local DSS office where they feel free to run the KGB on families with no distinction of innocence on the accused parents.

What happened that they didn’t have enough time to look at real abuse in the case of the animal known as Bryan James?

When DSS starts acting like a real family protection agency that actually protects children then I will gladly give them credit for a job well done. When it comes to children, there is no Ooops! We missed this one even though we had an open case on it is not a reasonable excuse.

They took steps to end violence and it’s a good thing

This post was borrowed, stolen, hi-jacked from I’m From Worcester with permission.

Last Sunday we went out to the "Taking Steps To End Violence Against Women And Children" awareness walk. This is an annual event held to raise awareness about the issues of domestic violence and sexual assault and to raise money to help Daybreak, The Rape Crisis Center and Girls Inc. in Worcester.

This is a link to some photos of the t-shirt display, above is the video we shot at the event. I spoke with Kim Dawkins, Executive Director of the Rape Crisis Center of Central Massachusetts. I also got some tape of Linda Cavaioli, Executive Director of the YWCA of Central Massachusetts.

The event had a pretty good turn out. I hope that my small contribution of blog posting and vlog will help them raise awareness and support so the next one is even bigger. Speaking of which; this is an annual event so be on the lookout in the spring. They need everyone out there - that means you too.

If you couldn't make it out to walk this year you can still help. These organizations need support year round. They need volunteers, supplies and money so they can keep helping women and children in crisis. Click on the URL's below to find out how you can get involved in a specific organization. Or, go to the Taking Steps web site for information about this event.

There are hotline numbers and URLs embedded in the video. If you know anyone who is being hurt please help them by getting those numbers and web sites to them.
URLs for more information about the organizations:

The Rape Crisis center of Central Massachusetts
YWCA of Central Massachusetts / Daybreak
Girls, Inc.

AND - I think that AK Consulting Services did a great job organizing the event. They did a good job of making an informative and family-friendly event. Despite the very sad reason for the event, it was a fun day.

So - if you missed it this year, get out there next year!

Ok, I'm done telling you what to do with your weekend now. Thanks for listening :-)

***My thanks to Claudia Snell for letting me post this here!***

Domestic Violence with a Badge

Let me just say this, my wife would kick my sorry ass if I ever raised a hand to her. My five daughters would probably join in on kicking my sorry ass if I hit their mother and Mom called for an Iron cage death match.

Domestic violence knows no boundaries or occupations and no race, creed, color or sexual orientation is without it. Tempers are what they are and sometimes the job comes home with you and sometimes some people can not check it at the door. Domestic violence is a serious problem in America and the flood gates of what is really happening in our nation is not talked about enough. It’s a fact that the majority of the abuse on spouses and children goes unreported. More times than not the violence is silent or quieted behind the four walls of a families home. The perpetrator and abusive family member is looked at from the family in a submissive mode and that the victim probably did something wrong to deserve a beating. That thought process is hard to comprehend but it happens every single day in America.

There was this story in the Boston Herald that I found and it points out several Boston Police officers that have had serious domestic violence complaints lodged against them and still hold the badge.

Critics: BPD soft on abuse
Boston cops punished in domestic cases, but kept their jobs

By O’Ryan Johnson
Friday, January 11, 2008

Despite talking tough on domestic violence, the Boston Police Department did not fire any of the 11 officers disciplined in the past two years for punching their spouses, striking their children and other violent incidents, a Herald review shows.

The punishments handed down by Police Department brass in those cases include two five-day suspensions, three 30-day suspensions and one 40-day suspension. Of the remaining officers who were investigated, two retired, two resigned and one has a criminal case pending.

“It’s outrageous,” Mary Lauby, executive director of Jane Doe Inc., said of the department’s lack of a zero-tolerance policy against battering cops.

Snip and Cuff em Dan O’

Police Commissioner Edward Davis, who has been on the job for a little over a year, said a tougher policy has been in place since June 2006 that specifies officers can be fired for domestic violence complaints even if they aren’t found guilty in court.

Davis said only one officer has been punished under the new rules, Lt. Dave Murphy, who received a five-day suspension for allegedly punching his girlfriend off a bar stool in Baltimore. In that case, the victim did not cooperate with the department, Davis said.

But Lauby of Jane Doe didn’t buy that as a valid defense of the department’s policy.

“This entire reliance on victims in order to prosecute, it’s a sham,” she said. “We all know that there is a substantial amount of domestic violence that never reaches anyone’s attention.”
- Boston Herald

Violence in the home is and should not be tolerated by any wife, Mother, or child. Violence against family members is much like starting down the road of beginner drugs or alcohol. For that matter some people think that domestic violence is just as bad as addiction to drugs or alcohol. One step at a time it can ramp up till the walls all come crumbling down. In the worst possible scenario a spouse or child is dead at the hands of a family member.

The Herald piece pasted all Boston Police Officers in the same mold and that is not true reporting. It does however point out that the rules for all law enforcement officers needs to be a higher standard than the general public rules and laws. As in most professions in America there are idiots and scum bags. Boston’s Police Department is no different. Not all cops are wife beaters and not all cops are abusive to their children.

I don’t think there is a police officer in Boston that thinks the idiot highlighted in the Herald’s piece is nothing but a scum bag. With his disgraceful behavior in his private life it reflects back on all of the Boston Police whether they all like it or not. Then again the Herald goes out of its way to attack all public servants in Boston.

Real men, real woman do not need to hit or abuse anyone if you just open your mouth and logically vent. Violence against the family members that love you even if you have hit them in the past is not the answer. Asking them what you should do in your life is the answer. If that does not help then get some serious mental health consultation. One punch to the ones you love will damage not only your life but the ones you love forever. Seek help and advice everywhere you can and save not just your conscience but the horrible result of a family bound by violence.

My personal advice to the battered woman that are married to an abusive husband, get out and do it NOW! The life you save may be your own. No woman should tolerate even one moment of abuse. This is not 1808, this is 2008. Ending the cycle of violence from the victims point is far better than staying and letting your children learn that it is okay to beat their mother. Life long lessons are funny that way.

Child Predators, Parents Beware

Parents today have to be so much more aware of what their children are doing that it is almost sickening. Children are under attack by anonymous monsters from within your own home and your child’s lost innocence is only a few keystrokes away. While we as parents are laughing at Hollywood’s version of reality on the television our children are being drawn in by people they do not know into a game that they never should be playing. In some cases the game is deadly to the child.

On line predators are monsters without a face that befriend your child and lull them into a false sense of security where the child believes one hundred percent that the new friend knows better than mom or dad. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out how they befriend the child. Telling the child that they are right and mom or dad is a jerk is what they want to hear. Telling the child that they should be treated better and should be able to have more freedoms is all part of the deception that leads to a very dangerous path for the child. That is the path that is easiest to travel for scum bag predators of children.

No matter how much you love your children, if they are on line then they can become a target of people without a conscience. Educate your kids on predators. When your kids are asked if they would like some candy on line then you as the parent have to teach them where the exit box is. Not just once but ten thousand times!

Over at the Worcester Telegram they have this Associated Press piece about on line predators of kids…

Governors Tackle Online Predators

By JOHN FLESHER
Associated Press Writer

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich.— Vigilant parents and well-educated children remain the first line of defense against online predators, even as social networking sites toughen standards and police crack down, experts told a panel of governors Sunday.

Law enforcement agencies are becoming more technologically proficient in the fight against cyberspace child stalkers, New Hampshire Attorney General Kelly Ayotte said. But they alone can't solve a problem so widespread that 1 in 5 kids who use the Internet are believed to have been approached by a predator, she said.

"This is an issue that we're not going to arrest our way out of," Ayotte said during the annual meeting of the National Governors Association.

It's a problem "far bigger than any of us realize," said Gov. Brad Henry of Oklahoma.

Speakers including Miss America, Lauren Nelson, as well as Hemanshu Nigam, chief security officer for MySpace/Fox Interactive Media, called for more programs to educate parents and children about how predators operate. - Worcester Telegram

You know what I would love to see? Corporate America stepping up to the plate to fund investigative units in police departments and government agencies to hunt down these sexual offenders. If Night Line can do one show after another on these creeps then why can’t corporate America commit funds to do the same. Night Line has done one television episode after another where they pose as children and all these deviants come out of the wood work. These people are out there and they are on your children’s computer.

Why can we not make this a prerogative to keep our kids safe. Are they not our future or are they just luggage for people to carry around? Do we need to have a police force on the internet to find these idiots that are child molesters? How do we fix this problem and why has it not been nationally addressed?

What Presidential candidate is talking about this issue?

Every single parent in America wants to keep their children safe on line but the numbers are against us. In my house there is only access to the internet by my children when mom or dad are in the room. All of the other computers in the house do not have access to the internet for a reason and that is to keep them safe from the monsters that used to be under their beds. That makes mom and dad a jerk in our children’s eyes but I would rather that fact than the worst case scenario.

It would be nice to see for everyone what happens to sex offenders of children in prison in a statistics format. Break out the numbers. How many get knifed, how many get raped, how many get killed because of the crime they committed. You don’t see enough of that information associated with these kind of stories and your really should. Inmates have kids on the outside and they have their own laws to live by while incarcerated. I’m not saying that anyone accused and sentenced is guilty but the reality of life is that sex offenders against children do not live well while in the big house. Deterrence is the message that needs to be sent out loud and clear to the monsters that have no faces that engage our children on line. That is what the media should be saying loud and clear. Not just this story in the Worcester Telegram but in every story printed nation wide.

Having internet access with children in the house is much like having a gun in the house, if the logical rules of ownership of it are not followed then someone can be hurt or killed by it. Just a thought to think about.

Child Abuse in Mass Continued

This story in the Boston Globe sounded like a trumpet sounding out the call to go to arms and fight the dragon that is the Department of Social Services. That is not the case by any means. This is an extreme case of child abuse and I don’t think anyone will argue with me over that point. DSS when notified does what it has to do to protect the kids.

You actually have to read the entire piece over at the Boston Globe to not fully condemn DSS.

Doctor says DSS sought to send bitten girl home
No bail for pair accused in abuse

By John R. Ellement, Globe Staff
July 12, 2007

NEW BEDFORD -- A Boston doctor who examined a 3-year-old girl whose upper lip was bitten off said yesterday that hospital staffers had to persuade the Department of Social Services not to send the child home, where her mother had allegedly failed to stop months of physical abuse by her boyfriend.

Five days after the girl was brought to Children's Hospital Boston with black scabs on her mutilated face, DSS proposed sending her home, according to testimony by Dr. Alice Newton during the couple's dangerousness hearing in New Bedford District Court yesterday.
The injuries were so severe, Newton testified, that the girl will never fully recover.

The DSS proposed on April 30 to return the child to her home four months after she first came to the attention of the agency's officials in January, when she was seen at a New Bedford hospital for treatment of a broken tooth and bruises that a physician there called suspicious.

DSS officials said last week that they did not take action in the case in the months following the January hospital visit because they did not find the girl at home on several occasions.

“Snip-a-roo”

In a telephone interview yesterday, DSS spokeswoman Denise Monteiro called the disagreement over the child's release a miscommunication that was quickly cleared up by a conference call that hospital staff requested with DSS. DSS officials had not authorized a plan to send the child home, she said.

Doctors, she said "thought the [DSS] worker was going to pick up the kid and take the kid home, and that was not what was going on," Monteiro said. "That was not the plan. There was no plan to take the child anywhere."

DSS ultimately went into court and, on May 3, obtained legal custody of the girl and her 5-year-old brother. The boy has not shown signs of physical abuse, officials said.

You really have to keep an open mind when it comes to the modern DSS intervention. When abuse at this level occurs then they will take children from the home and with good cause. I can’t say that I am a big fan of DSS but I am a supporter of what they do for the children abused beyond recognition as the child was in this case.

It is pretty obvious to me that the mother in this scenario was no Mother Theresa or even a reflection of her. This mom was just a womb vehicle with a growing cellular structure that just happened to come through the birth canal and after that point something else was on the television that was more important to pay attention too.

How she choose the boyfriend over the child is beyond my thought comprehension but then again I have five baby girls that I love to no end. Put a speeding out of control bus in their way and I would die trying to get them out of its path. That is just me though.

Was this mom to busy contemplating her navel while her baby girl’s lip was being bitten off? Where were her motherly instincts while the boyfriend was attacking this child like an animal? What kind of person would ever allow that to happen even once?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m a die hard liberal, but when it comes to kids and someone abusing them like these two people did, I have no mercy in my soul for them. While one person bit this little girls lip off the other pretended it never happened.

Meanwhile, there is a little girl out there disfigured for life. She is safe now thanks to DSS, and I for one applaud the actions they took. As for Bryan James, the animal that bit this little girls lip off, making him a gelding is not even close to what I would like to do that monster!

Extreme Child Abuse in Mass

I can not picture in my mind the horror of the child in this Boston Herald story. Put yourself in the mind of this child that is having her mind and body brutally abused by not her father but a boyfriend of her own mother. Then her mother does not report the abuse immediately on her own baby girl? That fact in the mind of this child must have screamed at the darkest part of the human psyche. Multiply it by one hundred in the mind of a child at the hands of an abusive monster that is her mothers boyfriend. Where was this child’s safe place during a time in her life that I am sure was a non stop abuse by this animal? Abuse does not go from zero to sixty to biting a child’s face off. That fact alone makes me wonder if their was a history in this case that the mother did not report as well?

This monster treated this child with such a disgusting act of aggression by biting off her entire upper lip that it was purely animal instinct by him. There is no reason on this earth that would justify such an act by an adult man against a child or any other human being. As an animal that he is I have no problem putting him down like they do dogs that harm people with the same aggressive behavior.

Doctor says bitten 3-year old essentially missing her top lip
By Associated Press

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. - A 3-year-old girl who was allegedly repeatedly bitten by her mother’s boyfriend is permanently disfigured and may have hearing loss, a doctor testified Wednesday.

Dr. Alice Newton, the medical director of the child protection team at Children’s Hospital in Boston, contacted child welfare officials after she examined the girl in May and found bite wounds. She said plastic surgery won’t be enough to make the girl’s lip look normal.

"She is essentially missing her top lip," Newton said during a dangerousness hearing Wednesday in New Bedford District Court. "I’ve never seen a child who is missing her upper lip.
- Boston Herald

Vigilante justice is not the way to go but I think people need to know that scumbags like this animal are out there. Your neighbors kids may be at the hands of animals like this and I find it very hard to believe that friends and family never saw the fear in this child’s eyes around this man.

Would you rather drop a dime to the local social services agency to investigate suspected abuse or attend the funeral of a young baby at the hands of an animal like this creep? I would hope that people choose the former and drop a dime.

I can only pray for this child going forward as her life will be marked forever with the loss of her upper lip. Surgery is in this child’s future and hopefully the pain in her eyes and heart will fade over time. Her memory may fade but the abuse will never be forgotten in her mind.

Bryan James should get a life sentence, no other punishment is acceptable in my mind.
