McCain Hate Based Base

Over the years writing this blog I’ve talked with many people that are true Republican’s but I am thankful that none of them have ever called me a Communist, a Socialist, or threatened my life. I’m a moderate Liberal Democrat but I don’t wear it on my sleeve. I don’t have to because my friends know me, appreciate me just as much as I appreciate them. Matter of fact, beyond politics, I could sit in the living room of any of my Republican friends and enjoy a few beers and our favorite sporting event on the television. There is no difference of opinion when it comes to who needs to win the game when the Patriot’s or the Red Sox are playing! Good times, good friends, and just outright good people.

This election is getting pretty ugly and I don’t like it one bit. Both sides are just as guilty at flinging the mud and false accusations and both parties are missing the main point! Our nation is in the beginning of a financial crisis not seen since the great depression. Our nation is at war, our troops are in harms way no matter what side of the war argument you believe in. This is not the time for bickering and bitching over the fence of who said what, or who started it, and who is going to finish it! One thing I do see is the anger is flowing over to the populace and the people following the campaigns. Video like this just makes me sick…

I find myself in a difficult position. For one, I don’t agree with John McCain on many issues across the board but I would never call him a hate monger. I don’t agree with Governor Palin on the right of Choice by a woman but I don’t find her position offensive to me. I do not agree with Senator McCain’s tax cut plan other than the fact that I don’t think millionaires and corporations like Exxon need it more than my family of seven does. Barack Obama’s tax plan and health insurance plan is far more agreeable to my family budget than that of John McCain. I’m not going to label McCain a Socialist for offering just a different version of each because he too has a plan to help American’s out.

I do consider which of the two candidates comes off as more confident, better at communicating what message they have to offer, and more willing to talk to all Americans on any of the issues I care about.

One of the things I take serious offense to is anyone calling Barack Obama a terrorist, a Muslim, and a Socialist. For that matter to “Kill him!“ as heard at many McCain and Palin rallies. This is where I could find myself going over the edge on all the qualities that should be heard on who the “Real John McCain” is.

When the supporters of John McCain call for the death of Barack Obama I get emotional and think of the Kennedy brothers that died at the hand of assassins. Radical people with radical thoughts. Stirring up the dregs of the political party and saying nothing when this kind of language is brought up at your political rallies is indefensible. Not once in all of my posts have I said “Kill em!” in any political thought, discussion, or argument with the opposing political party. It’s called reasonable discussion of the issues we all face as American’s!

If the same offensive language were used against John McCain at any Obama rally, my Republican friends would be wanting arrests made and people interrogated for treasonous actions against the election of our American President. And they would be righteous in doing so! The silence is deafening in the McCain campaign.

So what is the Secret Service doing when these threats against Barack Obama's life are made?

CORRECTION: John McCain is taking this issue onto himself at his Rallies and he earned my respect in doing so.

Bristol Palin’s Real Babies Dad?

The young man presented at the RNC Convention just might not be the real father of Bristol Palin's baby! I don't make this stuff up. I'm just telling you what I find on the internet that I think might be of interest to you as a reader of Papamoka Straight Talk.

This is pissing me off and if this ends up being a hoax I will fully apologize to the Palin family in a post here at Papamoka Straight Talk. Politics is not always about the issues as Rick Davis and many other people in the McCain campaign for President would like to have us believe in their talking points. The latest is that the father of Bristol Palin’s baby is an African American from Los Angeles visiting his uncle in Anchorage, Alaska earlier this summer. According to him, the family does not want him to have anything to do with Bristol or the baby and that is the latest on the Sarah and Bristol Palin Baby Gate story.

Conservative and Christian right wingers are probably going nuts over this issue of a right wing VP pick that now has a teenage daughter pregnant out of wedlock. If they are not, then they face the hypocrisy that they generously poor on their political opponents where teen pregnancy just seems to happen simply because those unwashed deviants on the left have no moral values. Damn you Democrat Rabbits! Now isn’t Sarah Palin the same candidate today in the same super star role that Barack Obama was bashed about by the McCain campaign just a couple of weeks ago? Today, Sarah Palin has her own laundry to wash now. This sort of event, teen pregnancy, has been happening for thousands of years but somehow it has become an issue simply because of the better than thou and more righteous “Family Values” of the Republican party over the last decade. When teen age children that are poor and their parents vote Democrat it is a lack of parental interaction, lack of educating your young about the consequences of a teen pregnancy, and lack of out right moral values. When it happens to one of their own children of the moral majority thought process, it is a family privacy moment to contemplate all of our sins to welcome a new life into the world. Double standard if you ask me but I’m just a mouth breathing Catholic with five daughters. And I love each and everyone one of them!

I’m going to say right up front, I doubt the validity of this young mans claim in this video on You Tube as being the father of Bristol Palin’s child. I’m tending to think that he is looking for celebrity status just on the fact that he is trying to boost his own music industry career. Over at You Tube they have his video and if he is lying then Bristol Palin should sue his ass for all of the proceeds his future holds. If he isn’t lying? That is another question for another day. Watch the video…

Nobody will ever know the truth here till the baby is born. If Levi is the father or whoever is the father does not matter. It has nothing to do with where John McCain stands or for that matter where Barack Obama stands on the issues. This video just points out how far from the issues that people will run to or from to not face the truth that America needs change. This issue has nothing to do with McCain or Obama! It is a family issue and none of our damn business! But!!! Big old hairy BUTT, if the kid is telling the truth, then where does that leave the McCain-Palin ticket if they pranced out for display purpose at the Republican National Convention a young man that was just there for the cameras?

Can we get back to Health Care, Housing Crisis and the War in Iraq? Can we focus on the real issues in this political race for President or do we have to play gossip over the back fence for a couple of weeks more?

God help this young man if he is lying. If he is lying, he has no idea how many laws he broke with this You Tube video. For the record, I thought he sounded pretty sincere until he pointed out that he was a musician working on a new career and then spouted off on being an Obama Democrat. I’ll let the National Enquirer look into the rest of the details of this unraveling tale.

Democrats do not need to lie to win this election.

Then there is this "MUST READ" from Who Hijacked Our Country

Joe Biden DNC Speech

Do you remember when America was trusted? Not my words but the words of Joe Biden at the DNC Convention in Colorado. In the speech in the video link below you will see many points that the tiger of the Obama ticket will take on from televised accusations in your part of America from the McCain camp with facts and not just rumors and innuendo. Joe Biden as a Vice President candidate will be the lion of this fight of right and wrong. All of his life Joe Biden has defended the people that needed his voice the most and Obama was on target in picking Joe Biden as Vice President. Anyone willing to get in the face of Bush at the White House and explaining the difference of the houses of government has my ear.

Bill Clinton in his warm up speech was just as great but Joe Biden brought the message home to Democrats. Joe Biden reminded us all why this election is so important and with the Clinton political machine behind them I honestly hope to think that Barack Obama will be the next Prisident. Call me biased but nothing John McCain has to say even intrigues me as a liberal and moderate voter. Every position he is for is opposite to the future of my family of five daughters. I don’t care about tax cuts, I care about the future my children will have to face. Obama offers a different path than the status quo and he has my vote. America is broken and hope is just a vote away.

Over at MSNBC they have the full coverage of the Joe Biden speech over at the convention in Colorado for Democrat’s.

I’m thinking that many of the folks over on the right side of the aisle are having doubts as to the truth behind the McCain message and see through it just like I do. Republican, Democrat, who cares about that crap anymore when it comes to the future of your children? This election will come down to who can sell our children’s future best and not about tax cuts for any group of people in this nation. Although I honestly feel that the Bush tax cuts for the top income earners in this nation are rediculous and unfair. Then again, any tax on the people is just counter productive when you really think about it. There has to be a better way.

It was a true surprise to see Barack Obama take the stage in the shadow of Joe Biden after his speech. It caught me off guard and it was a unifying moment. I loved it! This act was a class act when it comes to any politics I have ever seen. Seeing them together reinforced the message they are sending and it was all about families.

Bill Clinton DNC Speech

If there was ever any doubt that the Clinton family is not behind backing Barack Obama one hundred percent then former President Bill Clinton tossed that trash out. Bill Clinton is a great speaker and his ability to cover all the hot nerves of this race for President proved that he, his wife Hillary, and Chelsea Clinton are on the Obama band wagon.

Bill Clinton gave one of the best unifying speeches for the democratic party to date. Over at MSNBC they have this video coverage on the entire speech.

The Clinton political machine is in action and the bump in the polls after the DNC convention will be huge. I’m just guessing but the people the Clinton camp hung around with were not the same people that the Obama camp hung around with too. Two huge political campaigns merging with 36 million votes combined is a huge number of voters. Some of those voters Backing Hillary Clinton will not loyally follow Barack Obama simply because Hillary or Bill say they shoud but most of them will. To those disenfranchised by the election process I can only offer the simple difference between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are almost non existent on every position. Hillary is and will be a large contributor to the Presidency of an Obama administration and Bill Clinton’s speech proved it out. I don’t havee a problem with that and neither should Hillary Clinton supporters. Hillary Clinton is the opposite of John McCain on almost every issue and if you think that the Congress is a check and balance then you need to rethink the last couple of years with a Republican President and a Democrat lead Congress. George W Bush found his veto pen when the Democrats to control of both houses of Congress. Before that historic moment, George Bush vetoed nothing. Voting for McCain as a liberal Democrat or moderate voter and thinking that the checks and balances will keep things going on the straight path is troubling. It's just taking on the fact that the changes that are possible with a new direction is something you have to believe in and Obama can do that for America. He isn't going to do it alone and in the course of Linclon, he wants oppossing opinions and thoughts around him.
