Barack Obama DNC Speech
Earlier in the news coverage there was some serious doubt about the ability of the Obama speech to be clear in a stadium setting that would work well in the homes of the millions of people watching this on television. Then there was the early release of this speech to the press and the build up as a get tough speech was enormous.
Early coverage after the piece was full of praise and kudos and he earned each and every minute of this speech that he wrote himself.
Over at MSNBC they have the video of the speech from Barack Obama at the DNC Convention and acceptance of the Democratic Parties nomination for President of the United States…

I’m overly impressed with the speech by Obama. He nailed it! This day goes down in the record books of American history as the first African American that has the possibility of being the next President of the United States of America.

Blind luck had me in the car at just the right moment to hear Obama's speech.
It was a great speech. Well written and masterfully delivered, Obama showed the qualities that have brought him to this point, amazing charisma and the ability to inspire.
Obama held an enthusiastic crowd in the palm of his hand, and why not, he told them everything they wanted to hear. Lower taxes, health care, and end of our dependence of foreign oil and so on. The problem is he is never going to fulfill all those promises.
It reminded me of the old Roy Orbison song: "Anything you want, you got it, anything you need, you got it, anything at all, you got it." In reality I don't think we're going to get very much.
I saw a piece yesterday on the campaign advertising war being suspended by McCain with a TV ad from McCain stating "Well done." from McCain. It was just for one day but it was very honorable for McCain to do so.
