I really love the whole idea of starting a company based on
technology that is totally new and very much needed in our world. With
the rising cost of home heating then every little source of heat is a
saver to the family budget.
My little 2ftx2ft solar
window heater box placed in a south facing window pushes out some
amazing heat. 120F to 130F of free heat from inside the box with just
the power of the sun heating it up. The progammable fan system takes
the air from inside your home and then pushes that solar heated air out
into your home at 77 CFM. Even if it keeps your energy guzzling furnace
from turning on once it is saving you money.

One of the things that I think people see is the extreme difference of personal interaction between Presidential candidates. John McCain is the old uncle that likes children, loves family, enjoys a good time but he is not a people person. Over on the other side is a young man, with a very young family, loves children and people, very energetic, and to the dismay of the McCain Camp very interactive with the troops in Afghanistan. Then to top it off he does not mind a hug or two from the troops in the field in return.
For the record, I didn’t know that Obama has a dead eye shot at a free throw in basketball. Don’t even think of going racist on that sentence and if you do, grow the hell up! I wish I had his abilities on the court. Check the Video out here at this link if the one below does not work for you. Barack nails it from the three point zone!
Over at YouTuBe they have this interesting video on Obama’s current visit to the troops in Afghanistan. One thing you will notice watching this video is the lack of the suit coat or rolled up sleeves that most politicians use to show ampathy, the lack of the troops being held back from him, and most importantly how much they simply love Barack Obama. He is a rock star among the military in country and that speaks volumes onto itself.
As you read this article, Senator John McCain is at WalMart buying a sweat suit and planning his next trip to Afghanistan to visit not just the General's but maybe touch the flesh and maybe hug a vet, (Photo Op only and the selection process is going to be vetted by the White House I'm sure) in the war zone. Then again that touches into the icky factor for McCain? Maybe there will not be hugs for McCain, but the sweat suit shot will be cool?
One thing is certain, the Obama trip to the war zones is going far better than ever expected. That in itself shows that he has what it takes by far to be the next President of the United States of America.
Michael and I cover a ton of serious issues here politically and we also enjoy some great laughs together. Just to let you know that we are not totaly serious and all politics all the time I thought I would toss up some serious comedy.
I happen to love the comedic genius of Steven Wright. He is what you would call a thinking persons comic. There are some points in his various routines that you may not get until it bounces around in your head for a while but I think he is a riot. This video is courtesy of YouTube.
One of the best pieces that Steven Wright has done was the one about accidently putting his car keys in the front door of his house and it started. So he took his house for a spin.
Thinking men and woman want straight answers to legitimate questions. Something we did not see from the many Republicans on the CNN YouTube debates. One thing that I personally found in the gang of dark warriors for no change in the status quo was a stutter. Every questions answer started with a stumbling, there was not one candidate that could just answer the questions without bobbing and weaving and the art of not answering the questions was something that political students should be forced to watch in our nations colleges. Romney and Giuliani perfected it on one question after another by diverting to something totally out of context from the question.
While the Mitt and Rudi cat fight was going on I noticed a certain twinkle of appreciation in their eyes for one another. I’m taking a big risk bet here but I’m putting the money where my keyboard is and no matter which one of these two wins the Republican nomination, they will pick the other for the second highest office in the land. I’m going to Google search the Vegas odd’s on that one before I go any further but in my gut it looks like they have something going on… politically of course.
Personally, the nightmare question of the night to the Republican candidates was posed by the gay retired Army General. He simply tried to point out that many of our military members are discharged from service for being gay or lesbian and thought that was wrong. Not one of the candidates had a clear and to the point answer if the military will ever accept gays or lesbians. For the most part they ran from the question and ducked into the religious pews of the conservative bible belt. Apparently, all of our military personnel come from the bible belt, news to me seeing that we buried Captain Jennifer Harris in Swampscott Massachusetts and many more New England troops since the start of this war. I’ll need some help from my friends in the military on what “Unit Cohesion” is but I’m guessing that most military members don’t give a crap what you do on your time off as long as you do your job when the time comes to do your military job. If it works in the private sector, why can it not work in the military?
It does matter if the question was planted as charged during the debate and post debate commentary. My question is if Karl Rove is really retired from politics during this election. If you watched the debate and CNN afterward it was instantly attributed to Senator Clinton’s campaign without proof. Throw the mud, it sticks in some corners simply because the accusation was on CNN. Even if it was planted, as much as it is wrong to do so, that man and that retired General is still a citizen and he has the right to ask the question of the candidates as much as anyone else in America.
Still the question proposed simply smells of Karl Rove and I wonder who’s paying his salary today? Each one of the Republican candidates were swallowing a little bile and hoping it was not their turn to answer next. Somebody Google search it and let me know where Karl Rove is working will ya? I’m laying bets that he is working for some political organization and on loan to candidate question mark.
Ron Paul actually impressed me but not enough to change my vote from my personal political party. He seemed to nervous and stumbled on his replies far to often. I do have to say that he is the far left of the Republican party and not ashamed of where he stands on ending the war in Iraq. Even John McCain could not sway him off his stance and those two had some words that was clearly uncomfortable for Ron Paul. McCain played the mad grandfather for most of the night and pretty much took the whipping stick to Mitt and Ron on several occasions. You could see the anger in his face regarding torture of prisoners of war and rightfully so. That anger is what troubles me if he were in fact in the seat behind the desk in the oval office. Mitt fumbled and stuttered through the question on what is torture and even more so on McCain‘s defense of the Geneva Convention.
Best comment of the night came from Mike Huckabee… “Jesus would never run for President” No kidding! I’m not thinking that he would be a Republican or a Democrat but he might be tipping over the tables of the finance committees of most of the candidates running for office. If money is buying the next Presidential election then Jesus and I are tipping the tables together.
Screw the money and follow the character of the individual. Pride and honesty are in the details but humility is in the soul.
I tend to get email from all kinds of folks but this one intrigued me to check it out. Music is not my forte so I'm not big on any new groups or new singers but this young lady has a gift that reaches the masses. Thank you for the YouTube tip and letting me introducse Kirsten Price to the world...
For the most part this was the first time that I have ever seen such a great debate because the questions were from real people. I have to give CNN some serious kudos for hosting it and especially the folks that contributed questions to the event through You Tube.
I’m not writing this piece to point fingers at who was for what and who had a better plan for any issue. This piece is about the process and what it takes to learn about the candidates you are leaning towards. This was a debate of the candidates like no other before and it was very informative to the voters.
I’ve always questioned the strict formats of the past Presidential election debates where a panel of reporters or only a moderator is asking the questions. Events like that seem canned to me and questionable and the questions presented to the candidates are not coming from the people but a reporter thinking that they know what people want to hear.
Tonight’s debate on CNN was all about the questions from the people that want to know where every single candidate stands on issues that actually effect them as an individual. Real people, real lives, real questions that the responses from the candidates showed the differences amongst them all.
I learned a lot and frankly I was shocked on some of the candidates answers. It never occurred to me that some of these folks are not totally against building new nuclear power plants. I didn’t know that some of the candidates are against scrapping the current No Child Left Behind educational program for our children. I did not know that some of the candidates are very green when it comes to our nations future energy policy. I did not know that the games played to fund political campaigns are still on and one of the candidates wrote legislation making that kind of political donation reportable.
Part of the process of picking a candidate is not just reading what they stand for but understanding where they stand for any given issue. Tonight it was clear who stood for what on several issues from socialized medicine for all and that includes illegal aliens. Confirming plans to sure up Social Security was an interesting point of the night and once again I learned something new when it comes to the cut off point in personal compensation that you no longer have to contribute to the system. Very interesting answers.
War, the war in Iraq was raised and they all have plans. Mix and match but there is a plan from all to bring our troops home from the Democrats and it was amazing to see how each candidate had a different avenue to accomplish the same objective. Passions were raised in each candidate on how soon it should be done but reality was also inserted into the debate on how soon it could actually be done. I for one did not know before tonight’s debate that the Pentagon has refused to answer questions on any plans for a pull out of Iraq? Does that mean that the Pentagon does not have a plan to get our troops out of Iraq? I don’t have that answer but the main stream media will cue up on that response to a grieving You Tube parent that lost a son in Iraq.
Religion and personal belief in God was raised and it was interesting to see that some of the responses clearly made a defined line in the sand that being President comes with the responsibility to know that church and state can not mix. Even Planned Parenthood had a question about teaching your kids on sex. I thought it was inappropriate but it was a legitimate question. I’m sorry to say but all of the candidates failed the question. When one went on the sexual predator trail they all grabbed onto the trolley car and rode it.
Public schools or private schools for their own children was brought up. Most people would think that the children of the candidates all went to private schools. WRONG! Surprised me too. Some did but it seemed more for personal religious choice, security reasons, and educational choice that every parent has. That leads me to ask the hypocrites if it is wrong to seek a better education for your kids if you as a parent choose to do so? I personally would love to enroll all five of my daughters in a Catholic school system. Does that make my political opinion null and void when it comes to public school education? Space shuttle to Houston, we have an educational system problem.
Winners of the debate tonight, you the voter. Many topics were covered and many questions were raised. I for one am very thankful to You Tube and CNN for hosting it. Tonight was not about canned answers to the media but answers to the people selecting a Democrat for President.
