Bernie Sanders is the ONE!

I chose this picture of Bernie Sanders because of the masses of people that show up for him and his message for a better America.  One million online contributors have donated to his campaign.  Bernie Sanders does not want or ever need to have a Super PAC.  We the people are his Super PAC.  We the people are the political revolution.  If you care to find out who Bernie Sanders is then you need to Google what his positions are on any issue.  He has voted consistently for the same issues he backs today for his run for President of the United States of America for decades.  He doesn't flip and flop because it polls better to be for or against anything.  Little known fact, Bernie does not pay for polling from his campaign.  It would not change his mind so why spend the money to ask? 

I am an online news junkie and for the life of me I can not see how the main stream media is not picking up on the fact that Bernie Sanders is beating the hell out of Hillary Clinton across the country?  Hillary shows up in Boston and a few folks show up.  Bernie Sanders shows up and the facility can not hold the 32,000 people that want to see him speak.  This is not the first time this has happened.  Seattle maxed out capacity, LA maxed out capacity, and the list goes on.  Everywhere Bernie Sanders wants to speak they have to upgrade capacity sites and still make room for people that can not fit into the facility.  If I were the person with the job of booking Bernie after the first debate, I would be looking at huge football stadiums and asking the recently tax free NFL to support democracy for free.  Cause this is America, the land of the free (bernie sanders is against citizens united decisions by the the supreme court that allows billionaires to buy elections).

Anywho, back to Bernie Sanders.  People put this label on him that he is a Socialist.  Wake up!  Teddy Roosevelt, a Republican, was a Socialist!  He broke up the big lobbies that controlled everything.  (bernie wants to break up the too big to fail banks and wall street firms) Teddy even protected land by starting the National Parks program. (bernie knows that global warming is proven by SCIENCE and we need to confront it now as a nation)

Then we have FDR that served four terms because America was broken and broke from the Great Depression.  Franklin Delano Roosevelt tried every idea that came across his desk to get America back on its feet.  The New Deal was a work in progress.  He put people to work building bridges, building damns, building our infrastructure that we all take for granted today (bernie sanders is proposing creating 13 million jobs to rebuild our crumbling infrastructure).  FDR created the first safety net called Social (socialist) Security to take care of our elderly that at the time were shuttered off to poor farms or cast into the street if they had no family to care for them.  That would be the check our retired friends and family get every month to support themselves after paying into a system that is OUTSIDE the federal government budget (bernie sanders wants to expand social security not repeal it).  Then FDR created the GI Bill for all of those that returned from WWII.  One of the most successful programs in history where 5.6 million veterans went to school or got other training to become part of the boom in future years (bernie sanders will pay for his college for all for free is by putting a tax on speculation on wall street.  we bailed them all out, time for pay back).

We can't fail to mention Republican Dwight D. Eisenhower, the man that created the boom of the 50's by building our highway system that started right here in Saint Charles, MO.  Then went on to expand Social Security to people that are disabled (bernie sanders wants to expand social security and medicare and not cut it). 

Fast forward to LBJ creating Medicare.  July 30th, 1965.  Holy crap, socialism hit America again.  If you are poor and elderly, this is your medical plan.  Medicare is one of the most efficient healthcare plans in the world today.  You may get away with double or triple billing an insurance company but Medicare with fine your ass for being incompetent.  Fast forward to Obama and he creates the Affordable Care Act that our friends on the right like to call Obama Care.  It is an amazing plan that despite all the doom and gloom opponents has actually dropped the rising costs of healthcare insurance.  17 million people have been added since it inception and the writing of this post.  If more states signed up for expanding Medicare then the number would triple or more of new people paying into the market (bernie sanders wants a Medicare for all system that is paid for)(everything bernie sanders proposes is paid for)

Last but not least, Bernie Sanders has been in the forefront for veterans and fighting to get them the benefits they all deserve for all of his political career.  Most of those bills were killed by the GOP controlled congress because they are such Hawks but do not care about the people coming back home that need care.  Send you to war and forget you after they put the flag down to accept a check from the companies that profited from you service to America.


Rock ON Bernie Sanders!  Loving what you are saying and backing you 100%. You are picking up the momentum and pulling the centrist people on the right like Morning Joe your way as well.  (you don't have any hidden email accounts I hope???).

For all you young college kids and high school kids that want a future that is better than what your parents had, scream at the top of your lungs who you support!  Vote for Bernie Sanders.  Make your generation the one that made a difference.  Show up at every event in massive numbers.  Bernie can not do this alone.  He needs your voice now and he will need you voice once he is President.  He can't do it alone.  Be a part of the political revolution!

Democrat Election Over Kill

With all the hype over the election it makes one wonder who the real person is that is actually the candidate for President of the United States of America. I can picture John McCain red faced with anger in a doubting mode just before bed forgetting where he put his glasses only to have his lovely wife point out that they are on the tip of his nose. Hillary, upon getting ready for bed would kick all of the campaign staff off the Clinton couches and out of the kitchen so she could get the 3:00 AM call from Bill at yet another undisclosed location. Barack would be rolling into bed as the stars were perfectly aligned, the sound of choirs from heaven above singing and just as he kissed Michelle good night she punches him solidly in the arm demanding that he shut the damn motivational tapes off and go to bed like a normal person.

All of the candidates claim to be what is best for America and yet each has their own faults. While John McCain takes a walk as the duly elected next candidate from the Republican Party he is not the next President. He might as well be if the two candidates on the Democrat side keep up the daily slams of one another. He said, she said, is bull and the only one that wins in that kind of debate between Obama and Clinton is McCain.

I have been in constant contact with some very interesting friends and bloggers that write about politics all the time and this election is unique in a generation or more time span. Not since the primaries of Bobby Kennedy have the Democrats been so active with such a passion for politics that we are all in fact wearing our heart and soul candidate for President on our sleeves. Our choice of candidate no matter who it is can be and is the only hope for change in America. We are a political party so desperate for change that the actual process of selecting the one candidate to represent our political party could be our undoing. While we tear the candidates down in comments on blogs we in fact tear one another down in the process. Who benefits from that other than the one true candidate from the right, Senator John McCain.

If you do not know what Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama stand for then you have not listened. If you know one then you know the other and the end result is a Presidency based on change. Neither is George Bush and that is honestly clear. If you love W then by all means vote for more of the same in John McCain. If you want a new America not owned by special interest where the future is just a little bit brighter than a ten thousand year war in the Middle East then vote for Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama. Pick a damn issue and they are close enough on those issues to be brother and sister arguing over who did the dishes the last time. As a voter you should not care who did the dishes last but care if you have a clean plate to start your meal off with.

If there is one more debate, Obama and Clinton should not bash one another over the issues but concentrate on what McCain will not do for the people. Other than his commitment to continue to send our sons and daughters off to fight in a land that would not recognize freedom even if it was stuffed down their throats. Isn’t that what Hillary and Barack are both running against anyway?

The people are voting in such large numbers because they do not want George Bush policies anymore. Concentrate on that and you win the election.

Campaign Speech Writers Secret

One of the key things to any potential political candidate for President is a group of damn good speech writers. In every speech written is a message that you want to convey and apparently the Clinton campaign has a bunch of chimpanzees wildly typing and hoping that eventually War and Peace will come out. Hillary Clinton is in the mud flinging stage of politics and Barack Obama is if not far behind, catching up with her. Somewhere in the dust are the speech writers typing away with weeks ago news. Fire them ALL! Either the speech writers do not get it or the candidates do not get it. Either way, fire the speech writers. One can not blame the candidate for being wrong if the speech writers do not have a pulse on what is actually happening.

One word… BUSH! One of the idiotic and yet genius tactics of Bush/Rove campaigns was repeating the same message over and over again and neither of the Democrat candidates have clued into this fact. Other than “Change” for Barack which is working out fairly well and I have 35 years of experience from Hillary which is not working out so well there is a problem. Both candidates campaigns do not have a clue how to win this race with a knock out punch.

Don’t tell anyone other than the fact that you read it hear first at Papamoka Straight Talk about what you are about to read. This is top secret information from real people in the know on everything political. Pinky swear and spit on your palm and shake your mouse. Do it or you can not read any further into this post. I mean it! I have access to chain emails that will make your cats tail fall off and your dog will pee on every piece of furniture you own. Do it!

That was gross if you actually did it but I digress. The key to both candidates is not attacking one another but attacking the other guy running for President in the Republican Party. Shhhh! Close the door and pull the shades. John McCain is who they should both be going after and pointing out the differences between them both. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are two close to call opponents in this election and the only one that will actually win the race is the one that delivers the message against McCain best. Slinging mud against one another is like putting a bullet through your engine because the oil filter needs replacing. The horse power is dead but so is your transportation to work.

At this point in the political primary the differences of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton comes down to a popularity contest no matter what issue they are discussing. As a voter and a Democrat I’m good with either one. That is the dilemma and why they should be attacking not what they each stand for but what the Emperor in Chief part TWO John McCain does not stand for.

Both the Clinton and Obama campaign are welcome to contact the political writers of this site if they want a real speech written for them. We will provide the rough draft and how your handlers screw it up after that and let you deliver it is up to you. End result is that McCain is the target. Mike Jones, JW and myself Papamoka, have reasonable common sense rates. We see things as bloggers from a vast and different perspective from the outside that the candidates do not hear or are informed of inside the campaign.

McCain or Obama Independents?

It was reported recently that Senator Hillary Clinton would have to win 57% of the remaining delegates to unseat Senator Barack Obama from the Democrat nomination for President. For argument sake let us all pretend Obama is the candidate against the Maverick John McCain. This will be the Presidential election of the century.

In the race of 2000 John McCain was the Maverick against George Bush and that John McCain could have been President if it were not for dirty politics. The evil scientist Karl Rove worked that election as if they were taking over the world and low and behold he actually did achieve his goal. With eight years of George Bush in the Presidency we have seen our nation go to war, mega profits snickered at and justified because of the war, and a nation of separated people. Those with the big bucks, and those of us emotionally and financially exuberant to find a dollar in an old pair of jeans.

John McCain morphed into a George Bush Junior after the election in 2000 for one purpose and that was to be his political parties’ nominee in this election. What was once a Maverick is now a yes man for W even to the point of changing his mind on torture. Just a few weeks ago he admonished Mitt Romney for dancing around the issue of torture and rightfully so. As the only Republican candidate that was ever tortured he can speak from experience. What changed John McCain’s mind between that debate and this past week? Could it possibly be the deliverance of not one but two Bush President’s to his campaign?

Independent voters are not the Ross Perot nut jobs of yesteryear like one might think. They are people stuck in the middle that can’t stand the extreme liberalism and big government on the left. They are people stuck in the middle that can’t stand the extreme hands off ideology that if it is good for big business the consequences to America do not matter of the right. Independent voters are the key to this next election and they vote! How you get them to vote for you is the task at hand.

In McCain’s case it is a toss up. You could vote for the John McCain that used to be an independent Republican mind in the Senate or you could vote for the new and improved John me too W McCain. McCain is guilty of not being the real John McCain with every speech he makes. Rather than standing up for his own convictions he has subjugated himself to more of George Bush theology in government just for the chance to sit in the Oval Office in 2009. If he or his campaign staff looked at the current President’s approval ratings for the last four years he might want to reinvent himself back into the old McCain. Independent voters are not idiots and they don’t buy sound bites that sound like Bush all over again.

As for Senator Obama, his invention of himself is just what you see. With an oratory expertise he can make you believe that change is possible and that hope is alive. Obama’s message may not be full of details but the man has the facts and plans figured out. He isn’t slamming his opponents because he does not have to! When the message is right and the people want to hear more of what he has to say then that is the ball game for many Independent voters as well. Republican crossover voters and Independent voters will put Barack Obama in the White House in 2009. Personally, I would give more credit to the Independent voters. That is the key to this election.

Come the general election, John McCain will run for the center with all he has to give. Once more he will be changing who he really is as a candidate for President. In doing so, he will morph into not the die hard conservative and become a moderate candidate that gives a lousy speech from cue cards and teleprompters.

Barack Obama will pull all his abilities together to speak without any assistance and what you will hear will be from his heart and soul simply because he believes whole heartily in the words he speaks. President Obama will bring America back to where she should be and that is right in the middle but with a concentration of helping American’s first and foremost.
