Bush Admin Scumbag Award Goes too…

Make no doubt about it, George Bush picked the people he loved best to serve HIS nation. He picked wise men and woman that would do HIS bidding and HIS will. So let it be written, so let it be done in HIS government. Now that W is on the way out of office, tons of skeletons are coming out of the closets over at the White House and thus we need to award a War Crimes… I mean Presidential Administration crimes award. I suggest the Scumbag. I’m planning a huge ceremony for the presentation of the Scumbag Award. You might want to tape it or DVR it, this is going to be one hell of a long presentation.

Even when it comes to Civil Rights, good old boy George W. could not help himself by appointing someone to make sure HIS will was done. Georgie boy just wanted to make sure that Civil Rights protected all them fella’s that fought in the Civil War. Those were some brave boys and he was proud of em. Over at the LA Times they have this to say about Brad Schlozman who hired and fired lawyers looking out for those veterans memories…

Bush appointee saw Justice lawyers as 'commies,' 'crazy libs,' report says
Bradley Schlozman, who supervised civil rights and voting rights lawyers, broke the law by considering political affiliations in deciding who can serve, an inspector general's report
says.

Reporting from Washington -- To Bradley Schlozman, they were "mold spores," "commies" and "crazy libs."

He was referring to the career lawyers in the Justice Department's civil rights and voting rights divisions. From 2003 to 2006, Schlozman was a Bush appointee who supervised them. Along with several others, he came to symbolize the mid-level political appointees who brought a hard-edged ideology to the day-to-day workings of the Justice Department.

"My tentative plans are to gerrymander all of those crazy libs right out of the section," he said in an e-mail in 2003. "I too get to work with mold spores, but here in Civil Rights, we call them Voting Section attorneys," he confided to another friend.

He hoped to get rid of the "Democrats" and "liberals" because they were "disloyal" and replace them with "real Americans" and "right-thinking Americans."

He appears to have succeeded by his standards, according to an inspector general's report released Tuesday. Among the newly hired lawyers whose political or ideological views could be discerned, 63 of 65 lawyers hired under Schlozman had Republican or conservative credentials, the report said.

We have to give the Bradster aka KKK/Storm Trooper/SS/Administrator of the Civil Rights legal wing at the Justice Department the first Scumbag of the Bush Administration award. I’m sure he would be proud to put it up on the mantle of his home to show off to family and friends. Unfortunately, we had a problem with the design and engineering of the actual award. Apparently, the cows behind section of the trophy ignites every time its flatulence is taxed by yet another Bush appointee. We have a call into the USDA to fix this problem.

Keith Olbemann of Countdown on MSNBC has his spin on the hack job that Bradley Schlozman pulled off on President George W. Bush behalf….

You can’t make this stuff up. This is the dreams of a madman that thought he was King, and then the rest of the whacko’s followed. We all know how the economic engine in America was screwed over by Bush and Company, can you imagine what this clown did for Civil Rights? Or should I say didn’t do! Scumbag.

Bush Burns the Constitution

If you think that you are safer today than you were eight years ago then you are a fool. Only a fool would believe that our government is looking out for our best interests and personal security. When you here someone tell you that if you have nothing to hide when losing any right guaranteed to you under the Constitution is nothing to worry about. That is someone to be very afraid of. That person is the same kind of person they had in Germany in the 30’s and 40’s that thought the greater good meant some sacrificed lives were for the best. The greater good outweighed the individuals right to exist. Given that fact some six plus million people had nothing to worry about but disappeared off the face of the Earth.

This nation was not built on the principals of a police state to protect its people. It was built on fundamental freedoms. It was founded on an individuals rights. That is something that President Bush and his boys that know what is best for all of us have gambled on to make you forget what true freedom is. For the sake of safety your rights are being stripped away and when it happens from within the government then there is a problem. HUGE PROBLEM! Telling you what to be afraid of and why you need to forsake your individual rights is easy, fighting for your rights is what our cemeteries across this nation is filled with. They died defending the nation they loved and for those of us left to live the American dream it is a shame on our society as a whole to let this continue.

Over at the Washington Post they have the latest intrusion of rights based on drop a dime theories from Mine Fuhrer Bush…

Cellphone Tracking Powers on Request
Secret Warrants Granted Without Probable Cause

By Ellen Nakashima

Federal officials are routinely asking courts to order cellphone companies to furnish real-time tracking data so they can pinpoint the whereabouts of drug traffickers, fugitives and other criminal suspects, according to judges and industry lawyers.

In some cases, judges have granted the requests without requiring the government to demonstrate that there is probable cause to believe that a crime is taking place or that the inquiry will yield evidence of a crime. Privacy advocates fear such a practice may expose average Americans to a new level of government scrutiny of their daily lives.

Such requests run counter to the Justice Department's internal recommendation that federal prosecutors seek warrants based on probable cause to obtain precise location data in private areas. The requests and orders are sealed at the government's request, so it is difficult to know how often the orders are issued or denied.

I’m of the belief that the F.B.I. has worked for generations under the laws of the land and they had no problem snaring mob gangsters and secretive crime families without breaking the law. How is changing or corrupting our laws going to keep us safer from supposed terrorists? Unless of course our F.B.I. is totally incompetent and if that is the case then it should be shut down. That is common sense for law abiding elected leaders of our nation or is it not?

If this scenario as written by the WA PO is true then you need to get yourself an egg timer so you can judge how long it will take this to trickle down to the local level. Too late, it’s happening in Boston with the introduction of a plan to ask people to allow police to search your homes without a warrant because your son or daughter may have a gun or weapon. That would be search and seizure. Granted, crime in Boston by gangs is at an all time high but this opens up Pandora’s Box when it comes to your individual rights. Who is to say the neighbor you pissed off does not drop the dime on you? You stole his parking space on the street, just for giggles he or she calls the police and makes up a sham.

Boston police launch program to search homes for guns
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

BOSTON -- The Boston police will ask parents in high-crime areas to allow detectives to search their children's bedrooms for guns without a warrant as part of a new anti-crime program.

During the next two weeks, Boston police officers assigned to schools will go in plainclothes in groups of three to houses where they believe teens have guns, and ask their parents or legal guardians for permission to search.

Getting back to the reason for this post. My good friend over at the Gun Toting Liberal touched a nerve with his latest post and I understand his outrage over the Washington Post article.

There were once THREE “Separate But Equal” branches of government — the Judicial Branch, the Executive Branch and the Legislative Branch, where there were two houses of Congress — the House of Representatives and the Senate. One house would propose legislation to the other and the result would be either a new LAW or a STALEMATE. It wasn’t perfect, but it was the proposed Democratic Republic of our Founding Fathers and it actually WORKED for awhile.

But then — somewhere along the way — the Legislative Branch gave some of it’s “Separate But Equal” powers to the Executive Branch. They allowed a president “KING” by the name of “Forty-Three” to negate their hard-fought bills, after being ping-ponged back and forth for days, weeks and months, by signing them into laws with HUGE ASTERIXES known as “signing statements”
- Gun Toting Liberal

Both GTL and I do not trust the latest stunt by our government to protect us because we both know that the precedents to expand the powers is far greater an intrusion on individual rights. That is what this is all about. Freedom of our people should not be based on the whole. Each individual has the right to define freedom as it should be. Many a soldier, sailor and veteran fought and died for that belief.

One of the things I find ridiculous in a political argument is the fact that the Democrat’s were in charge of two houses of our government for forty or so years and no rights were lost to our citizens to protect us. Wars were fought, civil rights were created and our society grew because our minds were free to explore new possibilities. Pro or con against our government. Twelve years of Republican rule and we are tossing our rights out the window like the bath water for the baby. Baby included! There is a reason why FDR, Truman, Ike, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush Senior, and Clinton did not bust the Constitution, they swore an oath to uphold it. That is not the case with George W. Bush.

Fight for your rights. Vote for your rights and vote the people that are corrupting your Constitutional rights out of office! Then tell the rest of the clan in corporate America to get the hell out of Dodge or Washington D.C. as the rest of us know it. Take back America!

Here Comes the Anti Smoking Nazi’s

I’m entirely biased in this piece because I am one of the infidels that just happens to smoke. In Mass-a-two-sticks it is illegal to smoke in the workplace. Just another one of those nice laws to let the people know that the state is looking out for you…again!

Back in the old days Henry Ford was so anti drinking that I think that he demanded that there would be not one employee on his payroll that drank alcohol period. I may be wrong on that fact but good old Henry was looking out for his employees. Henry was the first I believe in corporate American history to be socially pro-active when it came to his employees because he had a problem at some point in his life with alcohol.

I can understand a supermarket chain not wanting its employees to smoke in the store, that is state law. Hell, I can understand them asking them to smoke in designated areas outside of the store, or only in sections outside of the building not seen by customers. What I don’t understand is the chain dictating personal paid break time behaviors when that time is mandated by the state.

Over at the Worcester Telegram & Gazette they have this to say about Big Y and its non smoking corporate policy…

Big Y begins new no-smoking effort

By Craig S. Semon TELEGRAM & GAZETTE STAFF

SOUTHBRIDGE— Chain-smoking and taking a drag of a cigarette has been snuffed out chain-wide at Big Y Supermarkets. In an effort to ensure a healthier environment, the company has implemented a smoke-free campaign to make cigarette smoking a thing of the past. As part of its health and wellness program, Big Y kicked off its new smoke-free workplace status as of July 1 by holding a companywide ribbon-cutting ceremony yesterday afternoon. Big Y has more than 9,200 employees at 60 locations.

The company has joined with the American Lung Association, which trained 13 employees as “facilitators” who can hold smoking cessation classes at each store. “We’ve gone all smoke-free for the employees and it’s healthy for the customer,” Mary Voight, employer service representative for the Southbridge store, said yesterday. Not only have the 115 workers at the Southbridge Big Y taken a pledge to keep the store smoke-free (some with mixed feelings, Ms. Voight acknowledged), smoking has also been prohibited for workers during their paid breaks and 15 feet from any side of the buildings. - Telegram & Gazette

If the Big Y food chain has such an opinion against smoking then why do they sell cigarettes? It just amazes me that a company can preach the evils of smoking and yet they sell them at the front of the store. Just for giggles I wonder how many of the evil smoking heathen employees go up to the customer service counter and plank down a five dollar bill for a pack of the contraband their employer has made verboten (Forbidden)?

In this companies effort to save its employees from an uncertain future they have ostracized them as less than valuable employees. Much like the Nazi’s of World War II, the perfect race is dictated by the state and no exception is allowed. This is discrimination and corporations dictating who can work and who can not.

If the reporter for the Telegram wanted to really get at the truth of this piece he would have applied for a job at ten of the Big Y stores to see if smoking was asked on the application or during the interview process. Answering in the affirmative if questioned on the evils of tobacco products. Not getting the job at ten stores out of ten would have been the smoking gun part of this piece.

Discrimination starts little by little and each time it rears its ugly head and we ALL say it is okay then we have forgotten what freedom is really about. Start practicing the goose step and break out the needle and thread to put that Marlboro patch on all of your clothes if you are a smoker so the true race can spot you in public places.

We need to stop accepting that the government and big brother knows best or we lose the big picture of what America was founded on. Freedom.

As for Big Y, as a consumer and a frequent visitor to one of their stores, and a smoker, I won’t be buying my grocery needs there anymore. Take your buy one and get two free and smoke em!
