World Wide Web Visitors

I was looking at traffic for the site and our ClustRmaps indicator blew me away. It’s rather humbling to see so many people around the world visiting little old Papamoka to see what our writers have to say. This is a map of visitors since October of 2008.

I put this blog eye candy in my sidebar about two years ago and I love it. It doesn’t capture all of the visitors and where they are from but it does a good job finding many of them. ClustRmaps keeps track of the visitors to the site for a one year period. I was in mourning when they had to archive my previous years traffic. All of my little red dots around the world were filed away in some cold dark computer. But, as you can see, their brothers and sisters came back home to Papamoka.

Thank you all for visiting.

Traffic Update for Papamoka Straight Talk

I’m not sure how all of the statistical web counters work that track the traffic to this site but here are some numbers that I found interesting.

This has been a wild and crazy trip this last month. Traffic is coming into this site from all over the world and the posts by all of the writers here are to thank for that. I thank them all for the effort they each put into their well written and from the heart articles.

Here is the roundup of numbers over the last thirty days. Headline impressions and articles from this site have shown up all over the internet every single day with a spike of just over 40,000 hits on one day and 20,000 hits on another. For the rest of the month we bounced between 2,000 and 5,000 hit’s a day as far as articles picked up by other sites go.

This is not just an American readership blog, we are clicked on and picked up worldwide according to Cluster Map. Folks are loving this site in Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa.

Our feed traffic is just over the top crazy with anywhere from 600 hit’s a day to just over 1000 hit’s a day? I don’t even want to even ask how that all works but it is what it is. As far as our Stat Counter the site is bouncing between 200 and 500 hit’s a day. And yet Google has the site at 500 to 1000 hit’s a day? I would love to find a one stop location for hits to Papamoka but as of today I have not found one.

With all that being said my fingers are pooped from typing!

Papamoka Traffic Update

Well this site is going out of the stratosphere. Search engines are loving us and apparently the group of writers we have joined together are showing on the traffic daily. I thank Duke of Madness and Ms. Crystal for all the added traffic at 200 to 400 visits per day. Check them out in the contributors list on the left side of the blog!!! Each one of them is a gift to me and a Godsend to this site on politics in these here United States of America. Two voices that are different from my rants but still relevant. Thank you Duke and Crystal! Please check out their personal blogs...

America is alive and well wondering how the campaign is going in the race for President. All of the writers here at Papamoka contribute to that thought process. We would not be this prominent on the blogosphere without thier contributions too. At 9:00PM tonight we had over 400 visitors and the traffic has been nuts here.

Thank you to all that link in or read this site daily. We are all loving you big time!

Papamoka Traffic Stats

Traffic around this site has been interesting for the last couple of weeks. I use Statcounter to track the number of visitors here at Papamoka Straight Talk and from friends that blog I have heard that it does not catch most of the hits coming in. I however like this counter for all the different ways it breaks down the hits coming in though. Then again I have to consider that the service is free too. I've tried other counters but always come back to Statcounter. I just like it better than other counters.

Then I have to look at the feeds posting the content from this site all over the world and then the numbers go up and over the top...

Papamoka Traffic and Visitors

I’m thinking that my little political blog site Papamoka Straight Talk is an enigma machine that can not be explained. From my calculations from sources I use to track this site we have been seen in some form or another by over 500,000 visitors from feeds, links, and mutual interest contributions since December of 2007. In that respect I’m a little bit humbled since I stumbled on this information today. To see my written work in so many places made me proud and yet a little bit intimidated. When you consider the sources that have linked to this site it is just a little bit breath taking. Many of the sources linking to this site use the posts free of charge and I have never charged anyone for linking to any post I've written. Never! I'm cool with that because my work has been seen by 500,000 people all over the world. Who knows, it could be more than that with links from links and links from that link etc.

I’ve always tried to just write what I feel and I was amazed to find out where Papamoka shows up! Google search Papamoka yourself and we are here, there, and everywhere. Even in languages I do not speak they have Papamoka post links.

What simply baffles me is that on some search engines, this site is above many of the main stream media houses. I’m not one to even second guess how that works but I’m happy that it is what it is. This Worcester Mass a Two Sticks blogger is proud of the work he has put out there on the internet for anyone to read. Maybe the old advice for bloggers is still true that it is after all about content.

Just something for me to think about when writing what I do, I guess. Thanks to all the folks putting us out there and everywhere. God bless you and keep you happily coming back to this site for more of what my contributors and I have to say. No charge per word, just a kind link back to the original post is much appreciated.

The question remains, if Papamoka Straight Talk is linked to a post, is there any legal damage if someone quotes my work? I put it out there on the internet that is a free media source. Is that not the same thing as any main stream media house that puts their work on the internet? I thank them all for using my works and encourage more of the same status quo. I have no monetary gain from blogging, it's a work of passion. I love writing and if you are reading it somewhere else that links back to my original work then I'm good to go. In that respect, bloggers need to credit the sources of the material they write on. But, by all means feel free to keep borrowing the work here! Traffic is growing...
