American Division By Politicians

When you look at any person in America you can see an American if you truly open your eyes.  Almost all of Americans are descendents of an immigrant except for those that are the original people that we now call "American Indian" which I think is wrong.  I call them by their first name.  They return the acknowledgment.

Back in my school days we all had to relearn basic math every single year because somebody in the class didn't pay attention to the facts of math the previous year.  Simple math, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals were foreign information even into some of my high school years.  Every single year I would groan about doing stupid stuff we learned in elementary school because half the class was way behind.

The same thing is happening in national politics with simple division.  If you divide enough of the people into special groups then you divide the nation.  Then all you need to do to get elected is use key phrases to get the misinformed vote.  You tell the rich people that the poor people are to blame for their woes, you tell the poor people that the rich people are to blame for their woes.  Then you pivot and blame the gays for the heterosexuals woes and the opposing argument is that the heterosexuals are to blame for the gay peoples woes.  Then you target immigrants for Americans not being able to find a job and pivot and blame the government for not loosening the immigration laws so businesses can afford to hire cheap labor that hard working Americans refuse to do.  You blame woman for the so called degradation of America because they want their own choice on what is their body when it comes to medical care and turn to support woman... well never.

Last time I checked I was raised an American.  My father fought for this country in two wars and was buried with honors.  The same people that claim they respect veterans want to cut benefits to veterans because it makes them hero's to people that hate the government deficit.  See the pivot there?  But then they want to support military spending that feeds the pockets of big supporters.  See the pivot?

How can a society that was raised by strong woman back any candidate for federal or local office that thinks that a woman is second class and should stay in the kitchen?  How can a society elect someone to a federal office as a congressman or congresswoman that is openly racist against minorities when the congress is the government body that says racism of any kind is illegal?  How can a society elect someone to a federal office that has for years done everything in their power to hurt the poorest of the poor by voting against unemployment extensions, against healthcare for all, against all job programs, against food stamps, against everything that the poorest of our society need.

Our nation is only as good as the way we treat the poorest of our kind.  When we the people forget that and keep electing people that have been paid to forget that, then the American experiment is over.

Division is simple math.  Division is very dangerous in politics for the common good.

Is it the Economy Mr. President or Politics

It is a given fact that the buck stops at the president’s desk on all issues effecting the American people. It is his job to do the best that he can to move the country forward out of harms way so the economy can grow.

As much as President Obama’s detractors want to paint him as the worst president ever, the economy is growing jobs under his watch month after month and not the opposite which was job losses under President George W. Bush. President Obama has stopped the red ink in our nations treasury by ending the futile battles to control Iraq through military dominance which he did in fact inherit from his predecessor. That is what I would call the KBR money pit that this president just ended this past week.

That should put the Cheney family (Former CEO of KBR) on a tight budget from this point forward in life. NOT! Google search yourself to see how a Vice President enters the office a low millionaire and exit’s a mega millionaire. And Dick didn’t by a lottery ticket if you were even thinking that might be where he became the top 2% of income earners.

Fixing the economy is not an easy task and it takes the efforts of individual business owners that have guts to invest in new technology. Coming from Massachusetts, I know first hand how many start up technologies needed help to get going and unfortunately the government was and can be of help when the need to experiment comes into play. Biotechnology would not be a center of world wide focus in Massachusetts if the political climate to build that technology was not fostered and given the opportunity to lead in that science. If the local, state, and federal government did not insert the funds needed to make Biotechnology the place to be born and grown then it would never have happened.

New technologies sometimes need a helping hand to create thousands of high tech jobs that can not be outsourced. And that is what America does best… We as American’s find a way to do things better because we never stop thinking of a better way simply because we place no limits on our way of thinking!

Now we have President Obama offering a tax cut that Republican leaders in the congress could never say “NO!” too but I’m thinking they might just do that just for the sake of the November elections.

Obama to call for $100 billion business tax credit

By Anne E. Kornblut and Lori Montgomery
Washington Post Staff Writer

Under mounting pressure to intensify his focus on the economy ahead of the midterm elections, President Obama will call for a $100 billion business tax credit this week, using a speech in Cleveland on Wednesday to launch what administration officials said was a new policy push.

The business proposal - what one aide called a key part of a limited economic package - would increase and permanently extend research and development tax credits for businesses, rewarding companies that develop new technologies domestically and preserve American jobs.

It would be paid for by closing other corporate tax loopholes, said the official, speaking on condition of anonymity because the policy has not yet been unveiled. - Washington Post

I’m wondering how the GOP will explain why a $100 Billion TAX CREDIT is a bad thing for American businesses that are moving our nation forward just one step ahead of the competition with new technology? I’m sure that Fox News and their crew will be able to work it out on a chalk board how this TAX CREDIT has something to do with the Anti-Christ or some socialist movement by the president, but I’m not privy to all the prep work and spread sheets needed to make that connection.

I do know this little factoid. Because the push is coming from the president and the Democrat’s then the GOP will find every single reason to shoot it down no matter how bat shit crazy it sounds. Michelle Bachman will head up that brigade and Rush Limbaugh will bring up the rear of Glenn Beck and Sara Palin. I’m thinking that the tax cuts that will be proposed to be taken away from old technology that doesn’t need a tax cut anymore might be right up there on the number one list for just saying “No“ from the GOP political machine in the Congress. Revenue neutral is an oxymoron over at the GOP where multiple wars are privately funded with government money simply because you wave a flag and call it patriotism. As long as the money ends up in GOP donors pockets then it is not a political or conservative issue because they shy away from factoids. Again, spread sheets and chalk boards and some expensive lunches and meetings to explain it all.

I am not even going to guess where the Tea Party group's will go with this tax cut issue. Which reminds me, I need to update my spell checker.

What is Pelosi Hiding

When it comes to this nation using torture, authorizing its use, and engaging or contemplating in the practice of torture, political parties on both sides of the aisle are showing severe signs of guilt and our representatives in our government, based on the land of the free are not innocent by any means. Even leaders in high positions in our Congress such as the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, is waffling on what she knew and how she knew it. Speaker Pelosi is dodging the Sunday news shows that more or less ask the most pertinent questions based on the latest issues. Running from them is a sign of guilt in my honest opinion and Speaker Pelosi has refused all interviews for Sunday.

Pelosi turns down Sunday show invitations

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) turned down invitations to be on several Sunday morning talk shows and is instead spending the weekend with her family.

The Speaker was invited to appear on NBC's "Meet the Press,” ABC's "This Week,” “Fox News Sunday” and CNN’s “State of the Union,” according to sources at the networks.

One source said Pelosi (D-Calif.) will be attending her granddaughter's first communion in Phoenix on Sunday.

A person in the position of Speaker of the House has to be very careful what they say and how they say it. Speaker Pelosi claims that she was never told the truth by the CIA on the issue of torture and when it was first raised under the Bush Presidency and yet the new Director of the CIA under President Obama claims she was told the truth. So who is telling the truth? I’m betting my poker chips on neither and just folding my hand. That doesn’t make me a fool, it just lets me play the next set of cards and study who is better at bluffing the media into thinking that Pelosi is innocent, the CIA is innocent, or that former Vice President Cheney was a political guru in manipulating the media once more. When everything is said and done, Cheney went on the Sunday morning news shows, he pointed out his reasons to defend torture. (I still think he is the Anti-Christ) So why is Speaker Pelosi avoiding the Sunday news circuit when it could clear her of any doubt?

If Speaker Pelosi has nothing to hide then I’m sure that the networks would have been willing to accommodate her for a delayed broadcast if she had personal family obligations. All of the networks would have flown their crews to her. This is the news story for the week! And yes a grandchild’s first communion is a valid reason for not attending the Sunday news requests for a guest spot. And yet something still smells funny and I can’t put my fingers on it.

If you look at the torture issue with an open political mind then many people are guilty of compliance and allowing it to happen. No political party is innocent and it was a severe lack in judgment by all affiliated with our nation endorsing and using torture against an enemy that has no qualms against killing thousands for the sake of their twisted belief in God. Is President Obama wrong to think that this issue, all of the people involved and prosecuted under his predecessors orders could be detrimental to moving on and making sure that it never happens again?

If we are to be true to ourselves as Liberal American’s then we need to look at those amongst us that have not served the standards we expect our leaders to stand up to. If the Speaker of the House has a clear conscience then she should have gone out of her way to clear her name on Saturday when she was available and then had the full right to have chucked the bird at the Sunday news shows.

What are you hiding Speaker Pelosi? This Liberal Democrat wants to know! And how does this help Darth Cheney and President Bush look innocent when it comes to torture? Is Speaker Pelosi playing right into the Cheney mastermind of the media? We shall see. Or as my cousin Jules says, only God will ever know.
