Facebook Paid No Income Taxes in 2012

Feel free to scream at the top of your lungs WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?  The largest social media network in the world called Facebook paid no U.S. or state income taxes???  BUT my Joe or Sue six pack pays out the ass and then some in state and federal taxes?  What is wrong with this pictureCheck it out here at CNBC.

"Facebook didn't pay any federal or state income taxes last year and will receive a hefty tax refund, according to a recent report.

How did the social network manage to swing such a nice tax break?

Well, according to the Citizen for Tax Justice report the company benefited from the tax deduct-ability of executive stock options, which reduced all of its income taxes by $1.03 billion in 2012.

The company also has another $2.17 billion in extra tax-option breaks to carry forward in the future, according to the report, which means Facebook gets to deduct a total of more than $3 billion in current and future taxes, according to the report."

Are you freaking kidding me??? Not one dime in taxes while they made billions?

I'm done... this is bullshit.  Where is the Elizabeth Warren at the IRS???  We need an Alan Grayson mentality on this crap.  This is wrong all across the board.  All of these rape the country tax loopholes need to be closed once and for all.  We all benefit from a strong government that protects all American interests.  Nobody gets a free ride when you get billions in profits or even working for a paycheck as a shipping clerk for a small company.  Nobody.

Unmask the Federal Reserve

Guest post (I copied and pasted an email from him) from Congressman Alan Grayson...

Last year, I asked the Vice Chairman of the Federal Reserve Board who received $1 trillion in funds that the Fed handed out to domestic banks and financial institutions. He said, essentially, "I'm not going to tell you." More recently, I asked the Chairman of the Fed who received the half trillion dollars - that's $500,000,000,000 - that the Fed handed over to foreign central banks. He said he didn't know. Half a trillion dollars, and he doesn't know!

That kind of ignorance and arrogance must end. We need to audit the Fed. And now we're closer than ever.

The House passed our bill to conduct the first independent audit of the Fed in its 96-year history. Now it's time for the Senate to act.

A bipartisan group of Senators is pushing for an amendment to audit the Fed. This amendment is similar to the legislation that we passed in the House last year. It's called the Federal Reserve Accountability Amendment. It will ensure that the American people know to whom the Fed is lending our money.

A vote on the amendment is imminent. Time is of the essence. Visit UnmaskTheFed.com NOW to contact your Senators, and call on them to cosponsor and support the Federal Reserve Accountability Amendment.

The amendment is simple. If it passes, the Fed finally will be audited. Regarding all those billions that the Fed hands out like party favors, we will find out who, what, when, where and how. (We already know "why" - the answer to that question is "Wall Street Greed".) But if this amendment fails, the Fed can continue to make hand out our money to whomever it wants, without telling Congress or the American People.

We think we can pass the Senate Amendment, with your help. The amendment is already cosponsored by progressive heroes like Bernie Sanders, Pat Leahy and Russ Feingold. And joining us in this strange-bedfellows coalition are John McCain, Jim DeMint, David Vitter and Sam Brownback. (We hesitate to use the terms "bedfellows" and "David Vitter" in the same sentence, but that would be changing the subject.)

With such bipartisan support, you'd think that passing this legislation would be a slam dunk. Wrong. Wall Street bankers and their lobbyists are twisting arms and pouring millions into the campaign coffers of politicians on both sides of the political divide, to keep their sweetheart Fed loans under wraps. It's time to counter their influence-peddling by making the Senate listen to the united voice of the American People. (That would be you.)

It's time to step up the pressure. Contact your Senators NOW at UnmasktheFed.com.

Courage,

Alan

Grayson Embraces KISS Theory for Healthcare

Having worked in quality control for most of my adult life I am a very large supporter of the KISS theory. Keep It Simple Stupid is the entire theory. Basically, anyone should be able to follow the directions you give them if you keep the instructions as simple as possible and if you can't do that then you are stupid.

Congressman Alan Grayson of Florida has embraced the KISS theory, wrapped it up lovingly in the public option, and delivered it to the House of Representatives to deal with healthcare for all Americans once and for all. An opt in if you will plan. Not 1600 or 2200 pages long as most political hacks on the hill would like to propose for health care as they stuff it full to overflowing with pork; Grayson’s proposal is four (the number 4) simple pages long and you can read it for yourself. CLICK HERE

My quick summation is that it allows Medicare access for all citizens and permanent residents. It provides an age bracket for determining premiums. The brackets are: under 19, 19 to 25, 26 to 35, 36 to 45, 46 to 55, and 56 to 64. Beyond that, the existing Medicare age categories apply.

Or you can read it in its entirety as it was proposed by Congressman Grayson for yourself seeing that this is a CUT and PASTE HERE:

In the nutshell it’s the KISS theory that will put both political parties’ politicians to the test if they can comprehend how to KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID. If Nancy Peolosi, the Speaker of the House, can't understand the KISS theory or principal then she needs to pass the gavel to Alan Grayson and he will run the hill like it should be run.

Alan Grayson, Democat Budget Hawk

Down in Florida, in the Orlando area, they have a chance to elect a budget busting Democrat hawk to the Congress that will not stand for waste in our government budget spending. Who would have thought that a Democrat would love his nation so much that he cared about where all of our tax dollars are going in the no bid contract war in Iraq? Alan Grayson cares and he deserves your vote if you live in the Orlando area. Over at YouTube they have this budget busting video from Grayson…

Stolen from the Daily Kos…

I did a post a while back that was picked up by Crooks and Liars and I love this Democrat running for Congress. He isn’t running from a big business background but on grass roots and that is why he needs your help to keep this campaign running. It’s your tax dollars that he is fighting for. I’m loving the dude! Click on the Daily Kos sight to donate if you believe in fiscal conservative members of the next Congress! Otherwise, just Google Search Alan Grayson and donate there. We need hawks in our government that are not bought and paid for by any industry.
