Former President Bush Barred from Canada
Apparently, President Bush is off on his first public speaking engagement and the good folks up in Canada have issues with the former President. According to the law in the great white north, if you are suspected of torture in any form then the government has to investigate it and prosecute the guilty parties to the fullest extent of the law. Gail Davidson is heading up the group Lawyers Against the War and is pressing her government to ban if not barr former President Bush from entering the country. Prime Minister Steven Harper is not commenting on the subject or very evasive to discuss it.
My first thoughts were that former President Bush still has diplomatic immunity but that little priveledge goes bye-bye according to the group of lawyers in Canada when it comes to suspicion of torture. Over at MSNBC and Keith Olbermann they have this interview and discussion on the topic...
