Prayers Help
In all of our lives we come across so many friends that become more like family than our own familiy. I have several online friends that I would do anything for if it were in my ability to do so and they in turn would probably do the same for me. We bloggers don't get to wear colors like a motorcycle gang but we know one another, at least us old timers do, and we keep in touch.
I'm a huge believer in the power of prayer and my twin brother from another mother down in Alabama is in distress. He has a ton on his plate and he takes more on every single day as an Iraq War Veteran. It's a tough road to travel and he needs to travel it to get through it and past it. He is at the top of my prayer list. Always will be.
I have another friend that was the victim of a head on car and motorcycle accident that is in rough shape down in New Jersey. He's in a bad way but the prognosis is good so he will still be in my prayers. Can't hurt!
Either way, a prayer for my friend in Alabama is going out and so is one for my friend from Jersey. God bless ya both, God guide you and keep them both well on this side of the fence.
Do you believe in the power of prayer? As liberal as I am I still believe in God and the power of prayer.

Papamoka, I will say prayers as you have requested. One thought about your last line, however: don't buy into the right-wing propaganda about your brothers and sisters on the left, the big lie that "liberal" and "faith-filled" are mutually exclusive. The fact of the matter is the right has done as fine a job "hiding" its atheists and non-believers as the left has done "hiding" its believers. Most people on the left, however, seem to be comfortable with the notion that this is (or was) a free country and one can worship or not, believe or not, as one chooses. Live and let live. This is exactly why Democrats have never (until now) put the specifics of their faith (or lack of it) on display: it isn't supposed to matter in a democracy. I would assume that non-believers on the right also share this belief. As for "believers" on the right, they don't seem to be as accepting of that whole "free will" thing. Anyway, some of the most spiritual people I know would describe themselves as liberal. It's not a contest, of course.
Just wanted to throw that out there. You're a kind soul, sir, and your request for prayers will be honored.
I offer my prayers also. It is true that whatever is going on in our own lives, there are always others whose trials and challenges can make our own pale by comparison.
I ask your friends to hang in there. And.....I'm not quite gone myself. :)
Michael!!!! I lost your phone number you old Dickens you! I wanted to call ya in the worst way today but the wife has our laptop in Connecticut for the week. By the way, you and your family have never left my prayers. Never will.
JW thank you so much for the input, it means alot to me my friend.
Mike,
I'm an idiot. The wife told me that she programmed your phone number into my cell phone... There it is? As Homer Simpson says, DUHT!
