What to do

Today we had the cable shut off but I can’t say that I miss it so much. I won’t have all the end world news pouring into the house like I used too. The girls watched it and the cartoons and other shows kept them entertained. I broke out the DVD's and the kids were fine. That won't last long but we have a ton of board games that will bring the family together. I think, but I’m not sure that the wireless is stealing the signal for my online network but I don’t know how that works. The electric and the gas shut off is coming soon, its just a matter of when.

Papamoka is going by the same way as the Dodo Bird and I think that I should say goodbye while I still can. Not by my choice. All of our other contributors to the site should be able to log on and post but my voice is going to be silenced soon due to a financial meltdown. It has been fun, I enjoyed and loved everyone that has become my friend in the comments and the links or personal emails. I’m working my ass off to try and get all the bills paid but start up businesses are hard and one bill I can let go is my internet and cable connection that is pretty high. Charter by the way sucks! Classic snooze you loose gamble. Nice deal my ass, fall behind on the three for $99 deal and you have a $180 bill per month. Bastards! Having milk, cereal, and putting a basic meal on the dinner table for the girls is far more important.

I thank you all for reading this site over the years. I love ya all and I will miss you. Take care of you.

Papamoka

I am so sorry that you and your family are going through such a rough time. I guess we all are, but yours sounds particularly worrisome. I'm killing myself just to make ends meet - I guess it proves the GOP got their dream economy. I only hope you get back on your feet soon Mat. I will pray for you and your family, so don't give up hope. We do care, even if we can't do more. We'll try to keep the blog going until you come back to full strength. Hang in there buddy! Good luck - MB

I wish I could help, Matt. This began for me seven years ago when I was laid off. I've been eking out a living any way I can ever since.

In his most recent post, Frodo used a topical song. He dedicates the words to Papamoka with the wish that the wind turns to his sail, and lights guide him to a safe harbor.

"Aye Calypso, I sing to your spirit. . ."

Mat, as you know, I have my own walking papers at the end of the month, so I can definitely relate, my brother. On the other hand, guys like you and I are survivors and I have no doubt you will be back soon. God Bless and know you are in so many's prayers, brother...
