Life After Death Mystery
I've always wondered about the here and after. Not religiously, just curiousity. How about you? Do you believe in Angels, Ghosts, Near Death Experiences? I'm of the curious mind and in that respect I ponder the inevitable question if there is life after death or?
Check out Life After Death Or web site. It has some interesting links to the obvious questions we all ask eventually.

Papamoka - My mother loved a funny story. She saw humor in everyday experiences and situations. She lived a life of fun and adversity as most of us do, but she had a knack for the comedic and the unusual. At the age of 81, she passed away a couple of years ago. Her 5 children, 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild held a beautiful memorial for her at the Turtle Bay Sundial Bridge in Redding, CA. (You should check it out - very unique, wonderful place). Anyway, several days after the memorial, everyone except my sister and me left to get back to jobs. We sat in our mother's living room reminiscing and talking about her. My sister said, "Wow! Mom would have loved the memorial and the way we put it all together." At that moment, pillows came flying off the couch as if they'd been pushed or thrown off. They landed at our feet. My sister and I looked at each other in amazement, then began laughing. That HAD to be our mother responding. It was so like her to do something like that. Pillows just do not fly off couches by themselves - but on that day - they did!
I don't know if life continues in some way after death, but my mother's pillow throwing sure convinced me the possibility is more of probability.
OMG Nancy what a story!!!
How about you?
As you can imagine, nope! ;-)
My sister, who hadn't seen our grandmother in a couple of months, had a dream that Gram's was in her bedroom stroking her hair and asked her to come visit. My sister made the trip into the city to see her that morning and found that Gram's had died in her sleep in the big old house all alone except for her dog.
Atheist/Singularitarian speculation
Interesting theory Infidel. To be honest with you, I wouldn't want my life downloaded onto a computer. I would tend to believe that it would belittle the life I had and the memories I had experienced.
wow, what a sad story, I'm sorry your Grams died alone. I think I do believe in ghosts. My Mom saw a ghost when she was young, it was a man in a tophat standing at the foot of her bed!
Frodo once wrote that he believed in an afterlife,if not,he hoped for one. He hoped that those who piloted airplanes into tall buildings would request the virgins they felt were promised them, and would receive an eternity satisfied only by the open mouth of Ann Coulter.
