Limbaugh Declared King of GOP

All across the news this weekend is the holier than Obama word of Rush Limbaugh dictating his desires on where his Grand Old Party is going to be politically in the weeks and months to come. Limbaugh aka Rush, reiterated his stance that he hopes and prays that President Obama fails in all his efforts to revive our economy, the world economy, and turning the unemployment trend around. I would have to say that that would be a fair description of good old boy Rush’s speech at the richer than God CPAC conference. Check CNN out for the video of it all. Get the actual transcript with audience responses noted throughout from his Lordship himself here.

Make no doubts about it, I want to predict right here and right now that the fat son of a biscuit eater is running for the GOP slot in the next Presidential election! No offense to people with a weight problem or those of us that love to eat our mom’s fresh hot biscuits right out of the oven. Over at the Huffington Post they have this to say on it…

At his closing speech at the CPAC conference, conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh doubled down on his widely-controversial claim that he wanted President Barack Obama to fail, insisting that he meant what he said, and chastising those who were critical of him.

"This notion that I want the president to fail, this shows you the problem we've got. This is nothing more than common sense and to not be able to say it? Why in the world would I want what we just described: rampant government growth, wealth that is not being created yet is being spent? What is in this, what is possibly in this that any of us want to succeed? Did the Democrats want the war of Iraq to fail? They certainly did. And they not only wanted the war in Iraq to fail they proclaimed it a failure.... They hoped George Bush failed. So what is so strange about being honest and saying I want Barack Obama to fail if his mission is to restructure and reform this country so that capitalism and individual liberty are not its foundation?"

The crowd, watching in three individual ballrooms because of overcrowding, went absolutely wild.
- Huffington Post

After watching most of the blah, blah, blah gas bag speech of Rush, I had to go to the bathroom to physically vomit. From everything that I heard and saw him say, he’s pissed that his political party lost the last two elections but still wants things the way they were. Grow up Rush, go stand in the corner and count off the days till your political party looses the next election too in 2012.

Rahm Emanuel has it coined that Rush Limbaugh is the official spokesperson of the GOP and even the GOP should be terrified of that depiction. Technically, Rush Limbaugh is the only talking head for the 20% that still think President Bush was doing a fantastic job right up to the minute he and the rest of his defunct political party left office. Over at Politico they have this to say on King Rush…

White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel charged Sunday that conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh is “the voice and the intellectual force and energy behind the Republican Party.”

Emanuel, speaking in deliberately soothing tones, told anchor Bob Schieffer on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that Limbaugh has been up front about “praying for failure” by President Obama.

“I think that’s the wrong philosophy for America,” Emanuel said. “What Americans want us to do, and what President Obama has been very clear about, is work together setting our goals …

“Our goal, Bob, is to continue to reach out and it’s our desire that the Republicans would work with us and try to be constructive, rather than adopt the philosophy of somebody like Rush Limbaugh.”
- Politico

I think that we can sum up that the extreme far right of the GOP is trying to make a grab for power of the party and the heir apparent is none other than his royal Hiney-Ass Rush Limbaugh. Count your blessings that he has not one son or daughter to continue his vengeful reign. Then again, if Rush Limbaugh and Ann Culter ever hook up that would pretty much put Rose Mary's Baby to shame.

The more they can pin the GOP leadership on Rush, the stronger the Dems will be. Rahm is a genius.

I'm loving it DB and the more Rush talks the more of an idiot and "We are so much better than you poor stupid people that elected Obama to the White House". Rush already claims that his brains are on loan from God, I'm wondering which God he is borrowing them from now.

All you lefty's get the Satan radar up and running! We can track this sort of devil worship nowadays... ROFLMAO!

I use to listen to him until he admitted to one of the callers that he is an entertainer. The caller commented that if he (Rush) was so all knowing why don't he (Rush) run for office. And the answer Rush gave is he is an entertainer. I can't believe he has reached the status he is today.
Rush said the Dem. want the Rep. to check their values at the door and agree with them. That is absurd. I heard Obama time and time again say if you have a better idea lets hear it. But he does not want to hear the same old ideas that got the country in such a big mess. Obama wants everybody Reps and Dems alike to break the blind alliance with the parties and do what is right for the people of the US.
Rush has no business being in politics. He should stay in the radio room with his pills and alcohol.

Obama et al are a collective think tank. US finally gets somthin' REAL G-O-O- O-D !! Some are actully good to look at - added bonus.

Limbaugh is a pseudonym or poor euphemism for his real birthname: Baby Bimbo "i don't get it" BlimpBlaugh. Wonder if he is from planet Earth? I think not.

Is this a creature of God gone to the other side? I'm fear it is so; BlimpBlaugh, tell Satan, "Get behind me !!" Save yourself; I forgive you; you 'know not what you do.'

He has grown old and is more caustic than ever. Let's give him the hook; pronto, Tnonto - get off the air - you pollute and make toxic waste at an incredible rate.

Welcome to Papamoka Straight Talk Anon and Queen Nanna! Join the discussions and feel free to disagree with me or anyone to move the conversation forward.

I'm suggesting that people email this post to friends and family to really get the discussion of this issue rolling.

Rush is pissed that the top 5% of income earners will be losing their hefty Bush era tax cuts and President Obama has the audacity to give it to the 95% that have been screwed over the last eight years. I had a glimpse of the GOP economic revival plan, it included giving the oil companies billions of dollars in tax cuts. How does that help Joe and Jane Six-Pack out? It doesn't.

Rush should stick to radio and not leave the environs of his studio.

I agree he is holding back progress....I am not saying the Dems will always make the best decisions. It is a changing world and the old ways is not always the best.
I am for whatever works kind of if that means I am a liberal or moderate then that is what I am. I have been concerned about our Government has forgotten why they are serve the people of the US and not their own interest. Obama has been a ray of sunshine in these dark times. I once again have hope.

OMG, I listened to some of the Limbaugh speech, I was horrified that those idiots who bow down to him are listening to his evil talk! What in Gods name is going on with these neocons, rightwing extremists!! The fact that Limbaugh even puts it out there that he could run, makes me feel good tho, because as you say, only a teeny tiny % of normal people are listening to his shit. These conservative blogs are just gushing over their disgusting CPAC, it really is pathetically funny! Love your blog!

You got it! I repeat; you get it. Keep talkin' girl.

He is crazy with an anger that taunts him always; he is losing listeners that have much influence at all; he changes no minds and preaches to the choir each day of his spiritually vacant existence.

He is mad and resents his listeners for not being more powerful. This he craves.

Hey, what is OMB? I'm new to this stuff.

BlimpBlaughBlaughBlaugh... is a pernicious element in the world of today. he is not what the Lord wants from His people. At least, that's what I've read over and over.

Papamoka,Somebody tell me what OMB is? I feel very out-of-date. Feels good to blog with folks that are thinkers. Keepin' it real; we need more of that. I like your insight -appreciate a good mind. speaking of minds - Obama's IQ is reportedly 173 - greater than Big Bill Clinton himself. I have high hopes for him; he's been dealt a massive web of almost incomprehensible tragedies for which to implement viable solutions. I have to believe if anybody can do the job, he has a chance.

I don't have a political blog, and actually I have been trying to stop my addiction to stalking the repubs blogs, they are not very receptive to my comments LOL! Thanks anyway for the linky, but I'll just visit and read, and comment too! Thanks Queen, it feels good to talk to sane people after visiting rightwingsparkle!

Stay away from them repub blogs. It will just poison your own sensible logic. For the most part we are a group of moderate to liberal writers and commenters. Get your news and opinion here and pass the word on to friends and family Queen Nanna.

You caught me on a night where I can comment. That is rare! Feel free to interact with the rest of the readers though. I'm sure they will discuss the issues with open arms. Sound off on what state you are in. And come back as often as you like.

Welcome to Papamoka my friend!!!

Ya, stay off conservative blogs unless you can just watch and laugh. I don't even bother reading but one or two of the blogs of the few who comment on mine. I prefer to have conversations with like-minded people, and if I am going to debate an issue, I would prefer it on my blog. And I have enough of them visiting to keep my arguments sharp.

If so, thanks! If not, you are welcome to visit! Man, so many variables here!

I do have to add that DB has some very thought provoking posts and I would love to have him as a contributor here at Papamoka. His writing is by far TOP OF THE LINE in making people actually think about politics. Thus I link to him and read his thoughts on everything political. He's changed my position on several issues from time to time and I'm thankful to be able to have his blog to read.

Ya Rock DB! You are my political brother from another mother. That would make you a Triplet with the Gun Toting Liberal and me!

Thanks! But to be honest, I am just a little fish in this lake. I learn from you and the rest of the pros! I am actually getting lectured on economics from another pro on my recent post right now (I know nothing substantive about economics). Tip #1...never claim to be naive lol.

Sue-snow? I don't miss it. I am from northern Nevada (Reno) but have since relocated to a tropical island in the pacific so I don't even remember what snow looks like!

I'm going off to try to get over the possibility of a child by Rush and Ann Coulter. Shudder. (Just heard your city has had 70 inches of snow this winter. One of your citizens just said on "CBS Up to the Minute:" "I've had it!" Stay warm.) BJ
