Obama Taking Charge of the Economy

While the rest of the media is selling gloom and doom, the man that is going to be the next President of the United States of America is already at work. He wasn’t lying on the campaign trail when he said he was working for all of us. The man is no longer drawing a Federal Government paycheck but he is at work to fix the economic chaos we all are seeing spread over the main stream media. And the current President is on vacation while still drawing a paycheck. Figures!

Over at CNN they have a report on what President Elect Obama is doing while resting on his so called victory and election to the highest office in the land…

Obama to meet with lawmakers to discuss stimulus

From Brianna Keilar
CNN Congressional Correspondent

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President-elect Barack Obama is expected to meet with congressional leaders Monday to discuss his proposal for the new economic stimulus plan, which leaders are now referring to as an "economy recovery plan," a Senate Democratic leadership aide said Friday.

Obama planned to meet with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-California, and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nevada.

The three then hoped to meet with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky, and House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, the aide told CNN.
Congressional Democrats are planning to vote on the "economic recovery plan" in the House next week and hope to have the bill ready for Obama to sign shortly after he takes office January 20.

A House Democratic aide said the bill would include "aid to the states, infrastructure spending, emergency food assistance" and other provisions that were similar to those in a stimulus bill based in the House in the fall. But the overall size of the bill will be larger than the bill that passed the House.

If you thought Obama was kidding about working for America then you never really listened to the man talk. His mission and life work is about all of us and he has said repeatedly that on day one he will begin to get things done. Pick a subject and I could picture Obama getting writers cramp passing the new deal of the new century onto America. While President Bush favored stimulating Wall Street, President Obama will be looking at Main Street.

It’s refreshing to see a President that will be attacking our deepest problems personally rather than deferring them to a cabinet secretary member or someone far down on the food chain of the Presidency. Barack Obama was elected President based on his promises and we all know that politicians can never keep all of their promises but it seems that Mr. Obama is doing his best to attack the media driven collapse of our economy by talking to the people in the know to make change a reality.

You have to give the man a heads up for effort even though the odds are stacked against him. Obama’s first priority should be to let the people know that our economy and the mechanisms that make it work are still pretty much sound. They are not 100% but they are intact and working. Yes, business in the private sector is tough but the fundamentals of the economy are basically sound. Products still need to reach the markets, food still needs to get to the store shelves, and gas is now cheap in comparison to the latest Bush dynasty messenger. We can get passed this with the right message from our next President.

Knowing that President Obama is already working on the economy and a real stimulus plan gives me a great sense of relief. His predecessor would have used the doom and gloom of the current economic crisis to further the needs of the select few close to his administration. That would end up being a third front on yet another war with no exit strategy.

Are you going to say the same when Obama goes on vacation? My guess is not, most people with any common sense knows when they go on vacation whether it be GW or Obama they are still on the job and working...I do believe you need a reality check.

I think the only one needing a reality check is George Bush. Tell me that I am wrong and that he is not the prize winner of time off when the crap hits the fan. His record as President proves that his time off is more important than his nation.

Grow up and face the facts ANON.
