YES WE DID!!

Sarah B. making some noise!
All I can say is YES WE DID and YES WE WILL!!
Intelligence and hope won out over fear and ignorance. The world now knows that the USA they knew and befriended in the past is still here and we're ready to fight back against the shenanigans of the last 8 sad, long and dark years. Thank God!!!

I didn't think I'd get as emotional as I did when it was over, but I cried when I listened to our President Elect speak to us for the first time (tears of joy of course). This election has given us back our hope and our pride. It has restored the faith we all had in each other to do the right thing instead of the fear-driven, selfish thing.

I was glad for the landslide. The people who have supported the current regime and who were going to support McCain's continuation of it were so certain that they were the majority voice in this country. That God was on their side and that they were infallibly right. The message was sent - and they got served a loud clear one - "NO, you are NOT what this country is about!! You are not representative of what most people think!" It's a shame that so much had to be lost to stir the apathetic and disenfranchised to action. I hope that none of us let each other forget what happens when people don't get out and vote for what they believe in.

THANK YOU YOUNG VOTERS!!! for actually showing up this time (sorry young people, I did it too when I was younger - I'm GenX, so not THAT old but certainly past what they are calling the "young vote"). This generation finally made good on the "Youth Vote" promises to "Rock
the Vote" instead of just squawking about how powerful they theoretically are - theoretically because if you don't vote, you are not powerful at all. (Again, I did it too - never voted when I was young. Yelled a lot about how folks should pay attention to our "super cool" generation though). It was amazing to see the young voters support each other and do more than just buy "Rock the Vote" t-shirts. Great to see them celebrate their participation in the system. Great
JOB!! This election meant the world to you and to my daughter's generation (BTW, she thanks you too - she was very angry that she couldn't Barack that Vote too. Her time will come and she will be there of that I am sure.)

OK, enough with this for now. We have only just gotten to the starting line, people. There is much work to be done! Let's get to it!

You have a long way to go Crystal before you hit my age which is the old and decrepid vote.
