Traffic Update for Papamoka Straight Talk

I’m not sure how all of the statistical web counters work that track the traffic to this site but here are some numbers that I found interesting.

This has been a wild and crazy trip this last month. Traffic is coming into this site from all over the world and the posts by all of the writers here are to thank for that. I thank them all for the effort they each put into their well written and from the heart articles.

Here is the roundup of numbers over the last thirty days. Headline impressions and articles from this site have shown up all over the internet every single day with a spike of just over 40,000 hits on one day and 20,000 hits on another. For the rest of the month we bounced between 2,000 and 5,000 hit’s a day as far as articles picked up by other sites go.

This is not just an American readership blog, we are clicked on and picked up worldwide according to Cluster Map. Folks are loving this site in Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa.

Our feed traffic is just over the top crazy with anywhere from 600 hit’s a day to just over 1000 hit’s a day? I don’t even want to even ask how that all works but it is what it is. As far as our Stat Counter the site is bouncing between 200 and 500 hit’s a day. And yet Google has the site at 500 to 1000 hit’s a day? I would love to find a one stop location for hits to Papamoka but as of today I have not found one.

With all that being said my fingers are pooped from typing!

My little ole blog has a good day if 50 people visit. I use Site Meter. What is fascinating to me is not so much the numbers crunching, but WHY people come to my blog. On my archived blog the two "search terms" which brought the most visitors were "Don Imus" and "boobtube.com." On my current blog - are you ready for this? - the search term so far which has brought the most visitors seeking the wisdom of my political acumen is "Laura Ingraham leopard-skin mini-skirt." So help me, God@ :-) I am most happy that a lot of people are reading "Detecting propagnada." BJ

I'm always amazed at how people find Papamoka. I did a piece months ago on a man that murdered his wife that is now imprisoned and wants the state to pay for a sex change operation. Still getting searches for "Sex Change" that lands here??? Another piece I did was on idiotic parents getting bikini waxes for their 8-12 year old daughters. You guessed it "bikini wax" is a huge draw???

I still can't get my hands on how the feed traffic works or is calculated. The Stat Counter hits I can grasp and as well as the hits from sites that pick up some of our articles.

LOL. I know! I can write a personal masterpiece which is ignored, but let me put in a simple phrase and half the planet comes looking for it! Guess we ought to throw in a post with a few sex terms every once in a while to build up traffic. :-) Crazy! I use only Site Meter, plus a counter. Used to have Technorati on another blog, but didn't pay much attention to it. Have you ever used Site Meter? Click on mine (Icon with bar graph under "Traffic Reports" and check out the different features - maps, graphs, etc. I am like a cat on a hot tin roof over the election results tonight! BJ

That's the key BJ! More sex driven posts. I know your vision is not back 100% yet so don't look at the pictures from Playboy linked to every post from this day forward... ROFLMAO!

The wife tells me I can't do that because my 11 and 13 year old daughters read this site almost daily. I got smacked up side the head asking if thongs were out of the question so those pictures will not be linked to any posts either.

LMAO!!!! Let's see maybe we could have a jackpot which increases every day or give away depression glass or something@ Wait! A chane to win one T-shirt to the first 100,000 visitors, LOL. :-) BJ
