Good Friday and Easter

Today marks the day that Jesus died on the cross for those of us that have a Christian life. It also begins the coming celebration of Easter Sunday. This is a truly festive time for all Christians and I wish all of you a blessed holiday weekend. No matter your religious Christian faith denomination, this is the day that we believe that our savior died for all of our sins.

Some folks wear their religion on their sleeve and spout off how they are holier than everyone else or have a closer relationship with God because they wield the bully pulpit of religion when it comes to all discussions. I'm comfortable with my own faith and belief in Jesus Christ. He and I have a mutual friendship that is nobody else business. I'm happy with it, he's happy with it too. It works for me.

If you listen to the words of this video from the Righteous Brothers, Unchained Melody, then its fairly appropriate for the event. If you listen to it as your personal relationship with Jesus Christ then the entire song somehow changes in meaning.
