Not that it is relevant to the point you are making with Obama, but I have never actually heard this song played before other than by myself (I think I play it too fast too lol). I actually have the original sheet music for this song on the piano from the 70's (I think 70's, it's older than me at least).

But to your point, I think Obama should be setting the tone if anything. I just wrote a piece (on my personal blog, not DB&McQ) on "bipartisanship" and how he needs to be skeptical of right-wing bullying. They have only one reason to play the bipartisan card and that is to make Obama look bad. If he sets the tone, they will lose their leverage (which they don't have anyways).

I think both sides need to pull their heads out of their (Insert Expletive here). The end result is that the American people get some much needed relief fast. What they have on the table right now is half tax cuts and half stimulis spending which in my thoughts is the ultimate compromise. And I agree with you that they could stuff it down the Republicans throats but that just makes the next piece of legislation that much difficult to get passed.

Whats the link to your personal blog, I'll toss up a permanent link to it if you like! We could do the link exchange thingy. By the way, I highly recommend reading DB & MCQ!
